We decided to check out Kamana during a visit to Clinton Premium Outlets. While making a reservation was easy, it didn’t seem necessary as the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy at the time. The establishment feels like a former residence retrofitted into a restaurant, with the original entrance door still intact, giving the impression of walking into someone’s home. Parking is available at the back, but the narrow driveway and entrance can be a bit confusing—you might find yourself accidentally heading toward the kitchen instead of the main entrance. Inside, the ambiance is pleasant, with décor that blends well with Indian culture. The menu, with its metal cover and embossed restaurant name, is unique, though it’s a bit heavy and clunky to handle. We ordered Veg Momos, Chicken Lasuni, Paneer Chilli with Garlic Naan, Tamarind Margarita, and Mango Lassi. The food was good overall. The momos were particularly well-made, while the Paneer Chilli, though slightly dry, still tasted good. The Chicken Lasuni could have used a bit more garlic, and the chicken pieces might have been easier to eat if they were smaller, but they were well-cooked. The Garlic Naan was warm, fluffy, and nicely garnished. Portions were on the smaller side for the price but sufficient for two to share. The Mango Lassi was standard fare—good but nothing extraordinary. The Tamarind Margarita was also good, with a hint of tamarind, though the slender glass it was served in was an unusual choice and could have benefited from a bit more salt on the rim. Service was quick, and the staff were friendly and kind. However, when we asked for cocktail recommendations, the staff couldn’t provide specific suggestions, leaving us to choose the Indian fusion margarita, which, while interesting, could have been recommended or suggested with confidence. Overall, Kamana is definitely worth a visit, especially if you’re in the area.

This is an amazing restaurant and you have to try it! From the moment you walk in, the staff are all so nice, welcoming and attentive. It's a small place but with very nice decor. You start off with the popapdoms and they taste divine. They come with some really good sauces but honestly they taste just fine on their own. My husband and I figured we would like leftovers, so we went a little overboard with ordering. For our appetizer, we got the samosas and fried jalapenos. I loved the samosas, the filling was extremely tasty and it was fried just right. The jalapenos were my husband's favorites, deep fried and spicy. For our mains, we got the chicken biriyani, lamb vindaloo, chicken Tikka masala, garlic naan, and chilli naan. Worth noting that the mains come with white rice, so yes, we had a lot of food. Like I said, we went overboard :-) Everything tasted great! All the dishes were so mouthwatering!! You can adjust the vindaloo's spice level and I chose 8 out of 10 but I think they went easy on me :-) We didn't really have room for dessert but ordered the pistachio kulfi anyway (it's sort of like ice cream). This was the definitely the perfect ending to the meal. I've never had kulfi before and this was heavenly. Even my husband who doesn't like dessert (so he claims) devoured half of this and declared it the best dessert he'd had in years. Excellent food here. We will be back.

My husband and I were planning to be in Guilford after work, and wanted to get dinner. Looked up a few places, and Kamana caught our eye. We were a little early for the dinner rush, and as soon as we came inside, everyone there was so nice and accommodating. They had a great drink menu, and my husband and I both enjoyed the drinks we chose. Mine, pictured, had Chambord in it, and was so good. For dinner, I picked the Paneer Tikka masala, and it was the best Tikka masala sauce I've ever had! It was so good with the cheese. My husband got the chili chicken, and also thought it was the best he's ever had - he got mild, and it was the perfect blend of sweet and spice. Of course we also had to get some garlic naan, and it was so fresh and delicious! We are so happy we stopped at the restaurant, and will definitely be back! I also loved the fun decorative chairs, which were comfy too!

One of the best restaurant in the town. We came from California and were craving for authentic Nepali Cuisine and was disappointed in so many locations even if cities like Manhattan but while on the road to Rhode Island, saw this restaurant and thought of giving it a try. To my surprise, this restaurant checks out everything. Food is absolutely delicious, vibe is so calm and the staff including the owner were so friendly. They even suggested me what to try on from the menu and I was so glad that they did. I ended up ordering more than I need to but the experience there just makes you want to try out everything there. I will definitely be going back whenever I am close to this location or near Connecticut. Highly recommended to everyone looking for authentic NEPALI AND INDIAN CUISINE.

Kamana Indian Cuisine in Guilford offers an authentic and delightful dining experience with its extensive menu of traditional Indian dishes and appealing Thali options. The restaurant boasts a warm, inviting ambiance that complements its flavorful cuisine, featuring expertly prepared classics like Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Vindaloo, and fresh, perfectly baked naan. While the service is moderate and could be more attentive, the quality of food is great. with dishes prepared using traditional recipes and spices, making it a recommended spot for those seeking an authentic Indian culinary experience in the Guilford area.
