I LOVE THIS PLACE! I’m not a great cook- not do I really want to be a great cook. I hate shopping, preparing and actually making a mess cooking something that might not really be all that great. I like to think of myself as a creative person- but again- when it comes to what I want for lunch or dinner I am completely stumped. Plus we are a small household of busy working on projects people- So La Cuchina has become my HERO of sorts. Great choices, nicely prepared and EASY!! They have both healthy choices ( summer ratatouille! grilled chicken in citrus quinoa) and Mac and Cheese. The meat balls were good, ( I like them denser ( but that might mean overcooked since my mom , although a great person wasn’t a great cook and I’m sort of used to everything over cooked or burnt- which I actually love) the eggplant parm was excellent and this week I’m going for the lasagne. It’s been now about 3 weeks and I’ve been buying 6-12 meals there per week and still loving the no waste, no think, no prep and assortment of meals that save time and are EASY for me. I think the prices are fair. I’m really tempted to use it for a dinner party since I’m good with the table but not with the cooking.

This place is a godsend to me and the next step from having a personal chef. I LOVE YOU AND PLEASE NEVER LEAVE ME! The staff there is usually very helpful, Laura even bright things to my car because I hurt my knee and was having a hard time walking. 5 stars for the super neat clean store, helpful staff and choices I’m ready made foods. If I can suggest anything, I wish I could return all the plastic containers for a sterilized reuse discount club program maybe? Anyway,...

I had to give La Cucina a review! We recently had our daughters wedding at Nuzzos Farm in Branford, CT and had La Cucina as our caterer! Joy was wonderful to work with and her staff we had for the day of the wedding were phenomenal!! The food was outstanding!!! Joy not only did all the incredible appetizers but all of the dinner buffet foods at the wedding along with my daughter’s beautiful wedding cake, huge dessert table, coffees, teas etc! I can’t say it enough how incredible the food was! Everyone at the wedding came up to us and we’re so so happy and raved about all of the food! Many thanks to Joy and her team! If I could give zero stars i would... Family member got a meal(grilled chicken) that didn't expire for 5+ days later... Eaten and within a few hours got brutal food poisoning(vomiting, diarrhea, etc), severely dehydrated, etc... Was the only thing eaten within a 12hr span so couldn't have been anything else... Went back to chat with them to let them know what happened, while explaining was met with "get to your point, what do u want done? And it couldn't have been us, cuz nobody else got sick".

Apparently they have zero idea was food safe handling protocols are or how just because others don't get sick, doesn't mean another can't. We had gotten food there dozens of times over the years and to be treated like this was disgusting. AVOID...
