Claw Daddy's — Restaurant in Gulfport

Went to pick up our preordered Cajun Fried Turkey this morning. It was so small looking that we purchased another one just to be safe. Spent $65.10 per bird. Got to my mom & dad’s house to each lunch. Birds were still warm so NEVER had to heat them. My dad went to cut one of them but stated it was overcooked and needed a chainsaw to cut. We were able to get scraps from it (NO SLICES) but it was extremely dry. My son tried to eat one of the legs but stated he couldn’t tell if he was eating bone or the skin since it had no meat. No one cared to eat the other bird so we brought it home. On our way back home that evening, I called Claw Daddy’s to inform them of how overcooked the 2 turkeys were but the gentleman just couldn’t believe it since he was the only cooking them. Wanted us to drive out of our way to exchange rather than refund some of our money. Told him we couldn’t come — so get this he has offered to give us a free one come Thanksgiving 2023. Now that’s funny!! When we got home, I tried to cut the 2nd bird with my electric knife - no can do the skin was way too hard. I got a knife and sawed through but as you can see from the pictures we got shredded DRY meat so I put in food processor and ground up for our dogs. Lesson learned DON’T ORDER FROM CLAW...

Good atmosphere, clean building what I saw of it good tasting food easy access to all people even disabled small parking lot very nice staff i mean very nice . Also some very cute giddy female staff too lol. And love the dress code they get to wear crocs real hometown southern family feeling restaurant good prices to. Fresh food. Also they sell hats . I'll be going back for the hats. I kind of want to start an apron collection too I'm a great cook they sell aprons too and they sell all sorts of other stuff seasonings shirts powders sauces . Today I had their crawfish potatoes corn sausage and mushrooms very good stuff. Potatoes and corn were my favorite last favorite was the sausage but even then it was all very good. Now if I only could find out that girl with nose piercing was single lol. She prolly married oh well . Lol but to restaurant thankyou for the food and the amazing atmosphere and the very good service fast prompt and kind keep on keeping on . Crawdaddy gets five stars from me. P.s. We've been coming here for years. Claw daddy's hands down has the best quality crawfish along the entire coast. Whether you get a live sack or a few cooked pounds, you won't be disappointed! They have mild and spicy cooked crawfish most days, as well as dungeness crabs and shrimp. And their fixings are really good especially if you get them in butter and seasoned. The mild crawfish is great for everyone no matter the spice tolerance. It has really good flavor and mild heat. The spicy has a good bit of cayenne, but it's the kind that will creep on you quickly. I suggest coming early on holidays and calling in advance for your sacks! The wait can be kinda long in person during busy holidays; you'll for sure be elbows to elbows with folks, but usually you'll be done within 30 minutes. And parking is sketchy at best when the parking lot is full, so be careful when getting out of your car along the street!
