You know when lunch is so good it makes you question every other meal you’ve ever had? Yeah, that was this one. From the moment we sat down, Lindsey came in like the lunchtime fairy godmother we didn’t know we needed. She was on it, funny, fast, and the kind of server who reads your mind before you even pick up the menu. Drinks never empty, extra napkins already on the table, and a smile that makes you forget you’re at work in the middle of the day. She’s got that magic touch.
Then the food came out, and that’s when Marcus and John decided to show off.
First up, the all domestic shrimp. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and seasoned just right. You could tell those little shrimp didn’t travel far because they tasted fresh out of the Gulf. Marcus and John clearly know what they’re doing. This wasn’t thawed and fried shrimp, this was catch-of-the-day, say-a-little-prayer-before-you-take-the-first-bite shrimp.
Then came Marcus’s Cajun pasta, and let me tell you, it didn’t just slap, it threw hands. Creamy, spicy, full of flavor, but somehow still light enough that I didn’t need a nap right after. The man’s a genius. It’s the kind of pasta that makes you protective. If someone tried to reach over and take a bite, you’d stab them with your fork and feel completely justified about it.
And just when I thought I couldn’t possibly be more impressed, John’s Boom Boom Shrimp Po’ Boy landed on the table looking like it came straight from a Food Network finale. Crispy shrimp, that tangy boom boom sauce, and bread that held up like a champ, soft inside, sturdy outside. The kind of po’ boy that makes you unbutton your jeans halfway through and not even care who’s watching.
Final Thoughts: Between Lindsey being the best server ever, Marcus working his Cajun pasta magic, and John making a Po’ Boy that deserves its own holiday, this was not just lunch, this was a spiritual experience.

Read moreAs I promised myself. I return to this restaurant. I am from south carolina I was visiting the North part of Mississippi (TUNICA) and refuse to go back home without coming back to this restaurant. When I arrived l was lucky enough to get the same waitress I had before (MICHELLE) this worked out well because she was absolutely great and even remembered us. She even remembered what we had the last time we were there. This time with all the confidence in her I just simply ask. What's your recommendations. what she recommended was absolutely splendid. From here on. I will just walk In the door. And ask Michelle to bring me what you want me to have. LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR...! I DROVE 6 HOURS OUT OF MY WAY JUST TO EAT HERE...! AND WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED......! THANKS MICHELLE WE WILL BE BACK.......!
We were visiting from the Carolinas and were looking for SeaFood. We are from a coastal state and we know good Seafood when we taste it. We were shopping in the area and rather than go back to the beach and eat we thought that we would take a chance and try some place new. As we passed by we thought we would give a new place a try. When we walked in I asked the waitress "do you have good Seafood here" with out hesitation she answered "NO" At the moment I was hooked. As it turned out this was the best Seafood We had ever eaten. EVERYTHING AND I MEAN EVERYTHING WAS THE BEST THE SHRIMP, THE FISH,THE COCKTAIL SAUCE, THE TARTER SAUCE AND THE COLD SLAW. To sum it up I will under no circumstance enter this state and not come to this restaurant. IN FACT I COULD SEE MY SELF DRIVING FROM CAROLINA JUST TO EAT HERE.....! IT'S JUST...
Read moreVisiting Gulfport again from Tampa, FL and I can't believe I never heard of this place. I passed it on my way to our hotel and check out the reviews and they were great so we gave it a try. I have no regrets. I actually had intended to driving to Slidell to go to Copeland's and man I'm glad I didn't. I order the Shrimp Po'Boy, hush puppies, fries, and gumbo and rice. The fries and hush puppies are good but I will focus on the Po'Boy and Gumbo. The Gumbo with rice at first glance i thought wouldn't taste good but I was very wrong. It was very good and the right amount of seasoning and seafoods. All the flavors complimented each other very well with the Gumbo. Now for the shrimp Po'Boy, it was different and the shrimp were cook perfectly. I had shrimp Po'Boy at Copeland's last year and the shrimp had a very strong fishy taste to it and it really took away from the reason of the sandwich. I compare this Po'Boy to the ones I had and Meridian, MS a few times there's had more of a spicy kick to it and thats what I loved and when this one didn't have the spicy kick I was disappointed at first. After eating it the way the shrimp was cook was just amazing, the right amount of mayo, and the toasted buttery sub is what set this apart from any Po'Boy I have ever had. This will definitely be on my places to eat in the area when I visit again. The staff was very friendly and professional, the restaurant was cleaned on the outside and inside. If it wasn't for COVID my wife and I would have dine inn. Nothing beats Mississippi...
