Where to start... I probably won't eat anything with tomato for a month... More on that in a bit. Service was good, waitress was very nice.
Wife's fork had food on it, my bread plate was greasy and clearly not washed, the glass of wine that I ordered had lipstick on it.
The food... Ordered arancini and mussels for apps, wife ordered the carbonara, I ordered the frutti di mare, baby ordered a small order of fettucini Alfredo with chicken. Ordered a classic negroni from their menu, which was SHAKEN, not stirred. Asked for a replacement from the bartender whom seemed pretty annoyed from my request. Got it back stirred, much better. Rule of thumb, only shake cocktails with citrus in it. (Yes, that's right, martinis included)
I can tell you now, they put no salt on anything. Who knows if they have salt in the kitchen. The arancini was sitting on a meat sauce, with what seemed to be more of the meat sauce inside it. Such overpowering tomato on the meat, I could not taste the arancini. The mussels were sitting on a tomato sauce as well, no toast, ended up using the table bread. The table bread I would say was the best part of the meal. The menu says tomato BROTH. What was on these dishes was concentrated tomato paste. Omg, I would have never thought I would have too much tomato, but it has happened. Whatever, added salt to everything, tried to eat it anyways.
Entrees came, guess what, more concentrated tomato paste. I was so over tomato at this point, I was scraping it off the frutti di mare, which also came without toast. Wife's carbonara had no pepper, the guanciale must have been undercooked (all 5 small pieces that were on the dish anyways) because it was rubbery and flavorless, and it needed salt. For having a dish with mostly hearty ingredients, it didn't taste like much. Wife liked the fettucini Alfredo the best out of everything. I beg you! Ease it up off the tomato! Omg, it's like a mimosa, you want sparkling with oj for color-just a splash for a little acidity. Moving on...
Desert... We each got our own tiramusu, which was DOUSED with chocolate sauce. Couldn't taste the tiramusu over the Hershey's sauce, so much like my entree, found myself scraping the sauce off again. We ordered 2 macchiatos, told the waitress how to make it, and ended up with a single shot of... Erm, don't really know what it was, a half full coffee cup of mostly milk (no foam) and a dash of espresso maybe? Waitress said it was a learning experience as she dropped off the coffee drinks. Didn't drink mine, they comped it off.
Food was awful, have leftovers which will probably sit in the fridge until it has to get tossed. Bill was $150. Waaaay overpriced for the food quality. Would have taken pictures but had a movie on for the little one.
I will probably not return, not worth it at all...
Read moreThere's a reason I don't eat out very often and it's because I constantly feel like I waste my money eating out. For my step-dad bday we got a large take out order of spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna's, pizza, bread, salads (Ceasars and house), and a beef carpaccio. Let's start with the spaghetti and meatballs. The noodles were overcooked. The meatballs were waaay overseasoned and salty. They were dense as can be. Meatballs mince should be lightly formed. They clearly overworked them into a dense meatball. Not to mention the marinara was way too sweet. The lasagna was layer after layer of soft overcooked pasta. It had barely any ricotta or bolognese/ragù and again their overly sweet marinara dumped all over it which the water from it leaked out of the containers all over everything. The pizza was mediocre. We re-crispened it in the oven on a pizza stone and the sweet red sauce was tempered by the other ingredients on the pie. Overall not bad. But that's the only half decent food we got. The Ceasar salad was pre dressed and waaay too much dressing so the lettuce was completely mush when we got it. The house salad was pretty basic and croutons were soggy as they were tossed right over the wet ingredients and not kept separate. And the beef carpaccio was suppose to be served with a lemon aioli but instead was served with a balsamic which completely overpowered the dish. It was a real disappointment as I heard wonderful things about this place. But clearly the reputation didn't fit the experience we had. And I understand takeout has an effect on textures in travel. (Which should be accounted for in the setup of the takeout) But this wasn't just about textures. This was mainly about flavors which just didn't work.. again I rarely eat out because I'm constantly disappointed in my eating experiences.. tonight was no exception. My Italian heart was saddened. Was hoping to find a great Italian experience. But alas.. for that I'll have to cook in my own kitchen as usual. 🇮🇹

Read moreI’ve eaten here many times in the past year and it went from a great restaurant with incredible attentiveness to very mediocre attentiveness and staff members that don’t exactly explain the meals with great detail.
My girlfriend and I came here for Valentine’s Day for a date night and waited over 15 minutes after being seated to be asked what we would like to drink. This is understandable after watching and observing that there was only what looked to be 2-3 waitresses for the whole night. But the wait times from the kitchen was also much longer than anticipated. We decided on choosing the valentine special which just stated “Whole Flounder” on the chalk board. I asked our waitress to please describe how it is cooked and or seasoned to understand if we want it or not and we were told that it was seasoned very well and has a great flavor, that was it. Us thinking this would be a good deal since it was the valentine special, we were led wrong. The flounder was only seasoned on the outside and not stuffed. It also had a sweet raspberry glaze on top that did not match with the seasonings. If we were told it had the glaze, we would’ve chosen something else. The appetizer and the dessert were good with no complaints. But as we ate, we watched others come in and were led to the bar because they did not have a reservation. Which we realized this was causing the bartender to become very busy and backed up and they were not able to make drinks for us or other tables around us. Now today 2/15, my girlfriend and I do not feel great after eating this meal, our stomachs feel very weak and we both feel nauseous. I’m not one to make reviews about a restaurant but to see such a great establishment start to decrease like this is very saddening. We unfortunately will not be coming back...
