We decided to try this restaurant because of the reputation of the old Blow Fly Inn. We were seated right away but after that our experience changed. First we ordered mixed drinks and they were out of one of our liquor choices. This was understandable so we opted for something else. The Cosmopolitan was really good so maybe this was a better option than our original request. We then were approached by the server to order our meal. We both ordered a sandwich which came with fries. I am on a special diet and cannot eat fried foods. We then requested substitutions due to my diet and was told this was not an option although the price for an order of fries was the same as my substitution choice. We even offered to pay an up charge and was told no. We were given the option to order an additional side, but it would be at full price. We finally told the server to bring the fires and not worry about it. Again because of my diet I cannot eat dairy so I requested my meal with only lettuce and tomato; no cheese. The food was brought out with the cheese which I specifically asked them to delete. My husband sat for 10 minutes waiting for them to re-prepare my meal so he ended up eating cold food. The food didn’t taste bad, the service was a little lacking and the options for those with dietary restrictions are non existent. We may try it again in the future but it will take us a while to get back there, or to recommend the restaurant to friends. The restaurant need to fix a few things if they want to compete with the surrounding...
Read moreMy recent visit to Blow Fly Bar & Grill left me thoroughly impressed. The live music on their new patio was simply awesome. Even with a heat advisory in effect, I was pleasantly surprised by the cool and refreshing ambiance, thanks to a fantastic breeze that swept through the area.
Now, let's talk about the food. The steak I ordered was a delight to my taste buds. It was expertly marinated, resulting in a perfect balance of flavors that had me savoring every bite.
What made the experience even more enjoyable was the convenience of having a place to dock my boat. It's great to see that Blow Fly has catered to boating enthusiasts, making it easy and hassle-free to access their wonderful establishment.
Despite being new to the service industry, our server Azlyn was exceptional. Being in the weeds, she remained attentive and ensured our needs were met promptly. Her professionalism and friendly demeanor truly enhanced our dining experience.
Blow Fly offers a fantastic combination of great music, delectable food, and thoughtful amenities. I highly recommend paying them a visit, and don't forget to ask for Azlyn, who goes above and beyond to make your...
Read moreOur waitress was a teen who didn't do her job very well. Kept us waiting to order for almost 15 minutes because she thought she already took our order in her head. The wait was a lot longer than most restaurants I've eaten at and it wasn't even that busy. When the food came, it was fresh and hot, but the cocktail sauce and tartar sauce were days old and shouldn't have been served. The cocktail sauce was congealed when I stirred it up to mix the water that had separated back into the sauce... same with the tartar sauce. They need to serve fresher condiments.
When it came time to pay the ticket, the girl put the device on the table for me to pay with my card and when the survey came up on the device, she made sure I left her a praising survey and tapped some things for me without my consent and then made jokes about it, like discreet peer pressure. Same with the tip. Sorry kid, you're not actually good at your job and the place is overpriced. Never coming here again. It was good in the...
