I was driven to write a review today after the lady behind the counter raised her voice at me over a misunderstanding. I work in the food service industry so I know what it's like dealing with the general public. It's difficult and often times frustrating. While placing my to go order over the phone the woman I was speaking with started talking to someone else in another language in the middle of my order. And she tried to clarify what I wanted when I ordered the veggie chow mein but it was very difficult to understand her so I repeated my order. When I got there she said, "chow mein no noodle right?" I was confused because I thought chow mein was just thin noodles and veggies and she raised her voice at me in exhasperation, snatched the menu to show me the difference between the noodle dish and just veggie dish. She was so rude I was left speechless and hot with embarrassment. This woman yelled at me over a misunderstanding. I'm sure it's frustrating to have to waste food but it was a mistake and shouldn't have been taken out on me by the way she spoke to me. Though the cook stepped in to do damage control and was very polite, I'll never go there again because of this experience. She needs to learn how to treat her customers because that's no way to...
Read moreThe food here at the Cowan Road location compared to the Hwy 49 Panda house is way different and it tastes way off. The crab rangoons had a weird rye bread taste to them. The eggroll was good. The Lo mein wad dry and had a weird flavor. I question how well they clean the grill before using it again. The dumplings are ten bucks but they're cooked poorly (overcooked on one side, rest of dumpling is doughy) and had a weird mushy flavor as well. I do not recommend this Panda house. Panda house on Hwy 49 is much, MUCH better quality.
Edit: I didn't even eat half of my food. It was hot and fresh, yet still too unappetizing to be enjoyable. I had to try it at least once, and it cost me a whole night's...
