Shelle's — Restaurant in Gunnison

1st visit-Good food. Decent prices. Service a little slow, too many flies for my liking buzzing around, but we'll give it another go another time.

2nd visit-Our 2nd visit was a bust. We were aware we'd have to wait awhile after ordering to get our food, but this time, the service was EXTREMELY lacking. There were 4 gals working, with one person waiting for their order & a car in the drive thru. We walked to the counter, no one greeted us. We stood at the counter to order for at least 5 minutes while the girls totally ignored that we were there. We weren't looking at the menu board, but literally belly up to the counter. We smiled at the gals when they looked at us, & they knew we were there. We finally left. It's so easy for one if those present to say, "Hello, we'll be right with you to get your order", but completely ignoring us is very, very bad!

3rd visit occurred 3 years after the 1st review. Same rotten service. Nobody greeted us even while standing belly up to the counter to order. Food okay. Flies buzzing around. Sticky tables. How do these people stay in business? I will never cross their threshold...

I visited Shelle's with our large Young Men group for lunch, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish.

🍔 The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the Double Cheeseburger with Bacon, and it did not disappoint—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The fries were slightly crispy, which added a nice texture, and they were still really tasty.

⏱️ Service was quick and efficient, which was especially impressive considering the size of our group. The ordering process was smooth and hassle-free.

🎨 The atmosphere at Shelle's is super fun and laid-back. The decorations are unique and memorable—like a bench made out of a car bumper and a vintage Coca-Cola painting that adds a pop of character to the space.

🐾 It’s also worth noting how friendly and welcoming the place felt overall. Whether you’re rolling in solo or with a crowd, it’s the kind of spot that makes you feel at home.

Terrible experience. we were one of only two customers in the place. after ordering our food we kept hearing the young girl that was cooking say, "where did that mushroom burger go?" The three girls working there were way to busy giving ice cream to a bunch of other high school kids that were in the drive through window area. After 25 minutes of waiting my husband finally went and asked about our order. Our waitress asked what did you order? Again we had to hear the cook ask about where she had put the mushroom burger. finally they brought it out to us and it had sat in the back so long the mushroom juice had completely soaked the bun and the burger was impossible to eat. we would have asked for another but we had already waited 25-30 minutes and were trying to get to a ballgame. we have eaten here before and had returned because it was so good. Owners probably need to talk to their young help about the lack of concern for customers in the place and not just entertaining the local teenagers...
