We traveled through Guntersville around 8:30pm on August 21. We were just looking for something quick to eat and a nice restroom (McDonald's usually have very clean restrooms). We pulled in and parked, entered the building and found two of the most disgusting restrooms we have encountered in a long time! Filthy and nasty, looked like they had not been touched in days. Then we got in line to place our order. The lady in front of us paid for her food and was about to leave when she asked a simple question. She asked "Why is the drive through closed?" The clerk looked at her and replied "To be honest, we just did not feel like working it, there are only 4 of us here and we don't have time." Wow! You don't say this to your customer! She should have been fired on the spot! But it gets better, after the lady left, they all laughed at her and the one that looked like she was in charge said, "If she wants it open, she is welcome to come back here and open it." We continued our meal and there were a couple of young guys walk in, the counter staff was all over them, flirting and telling them to to apply for a job and saying to make sure they put them down as a reference. The manager would hire anyone they recommenced! They guys were not ordering food, just hanging out. Meanwhile there was an elderly couple that had walked in and were not getting any attention. After a couple of minutes of being ignored, they left without ever being acknowledged. The most interesting part was as we were finishing our meal, we got to hear the girls behind the counter talking about what they were going to say about the drive through. The final idea that we heard was to tell everyone "The monitor was down". Overall you have a bunch of useless, immature, juveniles running this location down and it is apparent that no one cares. I can only assume that the owner is tired of the location and is trying to run all of his customers away. Yes, it is fast food, but still you have to have pride in the job you do. You have to be proud to go to work, proud of your interaction with customers and proud of yourself. The people at this location FAIL on all counts. Quality Management Training would be great for these guys. Avoid this place until you like being treated like trash and ignored!
Update: 08/28/2017 Got a call from the management today and they seemed very interested in our concerns. I just hope this results in a better experience...
Read moreThis particular location has quite a difficulty properly taking my order or notating my request on the actual order despite my asking literally 3 diff individuals to either make note of it within my order or to be sure to clue in the cook/s. The request made was for my daughter's nuggets be cooked well done to allow for her to eat them once cooled off on our way home rather than having to deal with her refusal followed by chucking the first nugget in the floor covered in BBQ sauce AND also to make my night a bit easier by not having to preheat my personal oven once home and re-cooking said nuggets and then finally being able to feed my hungry and irritable child! Lol. This request is handled with ease and zero issues at most all other McD's restaurants which is why I believe it's not such an outrageous request to make esp when I know that 9/10 times I will be asked to pull ahead to wait for my order and 100% okay with that! Anyhow, my order was immediately ready for me once I very quickly reached the 2nd window (no cars ahead) so without even reaching for the bag asked the guy to check their done-ness and mentioned my doubt followed by my willingness to pull ahead and wait and he agreed. I was parked in the #1 waiting spot for no longer than 2min, still much shorter wait time than usual elsewhere, but thought for certain by this point they'd have to have handled the request correctly, right? I mean it only takes either throwing some of the already made nuggets just chilling in a warmer thingy to be thrown back into the fryer for a few minutes OR cooking a batch of fresh ones for longer than the norm... WRONG! Turns out, as I'm waiting on my oven to preheat at home, my husband has already scarfed down his McDouble cheeseburger and is complaining of how it had to have been the most disgusting tasting, burnt and rubbery-textured burger he's ever eaten from anywhere! Lol so I believe they instead cooked his burger patties well done for some reason? Maybe to stick it to me for asking such a difficult task of them at such a completely dead time of the early evening? Sry...
Read moreI came through the drive thru at 6:30am this morning. I got to work only to realize every aspect of my order was incorrect. I was given a biscuit instead of a mcgriddle, there was no hashbrown even though I ordered a combo AND was also given the wrong drink. I called over there to make them aware and there was no apology, no nothing. In fact the girl I spoke with, KYLIE was her name, was extremely rude. I am truly not one to complain, but the way I was treated this morning is completely unacceptable. I asked to speak to a manager and she stated she was the manager which is very hard for me to believe due to her customer service skills which are obviously non existent. She seemed bothered that I was even calling to make them aware of the issue. I told her if they can't bring me the correct order (I work literally across the street and they've done this before in the past) then I would like a refund. She seemed appalled that I even mentioned bringing me my correct order and said VERY RUDELY, "mam, we can't just bring you your order", as if I was demanding that on the phone even though I wasn't. Then she said to come by and they'll give me the correct order. I told her I was at work and could not leave. So then she says "well you have to be here in order for me to do a refund and you'll need to bring the order with you". I was shocked by this. For one, to not even apologize for my order being completely incorrect and act like its irritating her that I'm even calling to make them aware of the situation, and then tell me to bring the order in instead of offering a free biscuit next time or telling me to keep my order and still offer a refund or just something to show that they're sorry for the inconvenience is completely unprofessional and rude in my opinion and I work in customer service every day. I will be by there on my lunch to collect a refund and if I am treated the same way I've been treated by KYLIE this morning I can guarantee you I will not be back to this...
