I love Wendy’s, but I was disappointed with my visit to this location in Guntersville on a Saturday at about 10:30 p.m.
While ordering, the attendant working the drive-thru said that she couldn’t hear me in a snippy tone. I’m not a soft-spoken person, but I spoke louder. As I continued ordering, she again said that she couldn’t hear me in a very irritated tone.
I’m not sure if there was an issue with the intercom or some other factor, but directing frustration at me seemed inappropriate. Neither time did she ask me to repeat myself. She just stopped at, “I can’t hear you.” I finished ordering, confirming my selections on the screen: Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, Fries, Nuggets w/Honey Mustard, and a Dr. Pepper.
The person working the payment window was nice, ran my card, and I drove onto the pickup window.
The employee at the pickup window opened the window, handed me my drink, then my bag of food as she said, “Have a good night.” This happened so quickly that I had begun to ask for ketchup immediately after she had stopped talking, but I made it as far as, “May I have...” before the window was closed already.
She must not have been listening to me talking or didn’t care because the window did not reopen until she noticed I had not pulled away. I asked for the ketchup, and she handed it to me without saying anything. I said thanks and drove away.
I took a sip of my Dr. Pepper, but it tasted weak. Some adjustment must need to be made with the fountain machine. The sandwich was good, and the fries were hot. The nuggets weren’t cooked so well on this visit, a little cool. They also forgot to give me the honey mustard sauce. That was frustrating.
It wasn’t an experience that would cause me never to go back again, but it wasn’t the quality and service I usually get at Wendy’s.
TL;DR: They got two stars for giving me a decent sandwich and fries, but the attendant was snippy, inattentive, nuggets were cool, soda was weak, and they forgot the...

Read moreThe order taker was the best part of our experience at Wendy's today. He was friendly and did a great job taking our order and explains what was on a sandwich I asked about. Francis was the person putting food on trays and handing out the order. She was not very friendly and her facial expression and actions made it appear she have rather been somewhere other than work. She left off the chips for the taco salad when I went back to ask for them she never said sorry they were left off or anything she just handed them to me rather rude. The chili for the taco salad was joke it barely had any on it (their was more salsa in the 2oz cup than chili on the lettuce). The hamburger we ordered was cold. Went back to get chocolate frosty and they were the consistency of a milkshake. They did refund those. Will be a while before we go back to this Wendy's location...
