Cara Mia Italíana — Restaurant in Guttenberg

Cara Mia is a neighborhood restaurant that was highly recommended by a friend who raved about the good food. My wife and I went with another couple. We all thought the food was delicious! That says a lot. For starters, we had the 'happy hour' oysters that were fresh, chilled and very tasty and only 1$ each. We shared several other appetizers which were presented beautifully and were well prepared. I had chicken parm that came with a side of mouth watering pasta. In fact the pasta was so good, I ordered another side of a different pasta. We topped off dinner with delicious and authentically prepared creme brulee. The service was very professional, prompt and attentive. I was told that the restaurant was recently renovated. The ambience is appealing and somewhat intimate. The tables are somewhat undersized but were very nicely set with spotless tablecloths and colorful dishes. The front door on this hot evening was open and we fed a few local bar flies. I had my sister’s bridal shower here recently. Everything turned out perfectly because of the manager Miguel Ángel. I can’t express my gratitude enough. We had a family emergency HOURS before the event and he not only let us reschedule but was so kind. It is rare to find a venue that genuinely cares and I’ll never forget it. It made every difference. And when the day of the celebration came, everything turned out beautifully. The food and drinks were delicious and atmosphere was relaxed and we did our thing. Brunch time needs to be updated to 12:30 PM, we went at 12:13 PM today and we were looking forward for having brunch and supporting local eateries but unfortunately it wasn’t open when we arrived. While we waited outside the hostess or manager came to open the restaurant and offered us to come in to their garden seating, but there were no staff yet to cook or serve us. I will definitely give Cara Mia a try as it looks beautiful interior and from the photos and menu it seems it has great offerings, but please edit/correct the open times (the menu also says 12 PM Saturday and Sunday...
