After a few really bad experiences at this diner, I would recommend just going to the chit chat diner.
My first experience at this restaraunt was last month when I stopped in for a bagel with cream cheese and tomato. I only had received one thinly sliced tomato, meant to cover both of my bagel slices. Obviously needing more tomato than this, I ordered another slice.
At any deli, two slices of tomato would have cost between $0.50 and $1.
The add on cost me $2.
When I went to the owner with my concerns, he immediately became defensive, and suggested that I was trying to get a free meal.
If it wasn’t for the fact that this diner is conveniently placed around the corner from my apartment, there certainly would never have been a second order, but this morning I made that exact mistake. I ordered a simple sausage, egg, and cheese with salt, pepper and ketchup ON THE SANDWICH.
What I received was one half sausage, 2 egg, and cheese, and one half 1 egg and cheese. No salt, no pepper, and no ketchup anywhere on my sandwich. I was told it was in the bag (not what I wanted)
When I called up to talk to the owner again, he again was defensive. He said the order comes with two eggs, and one sausage link and cheese, and they just put all of the ingredients on one side of the sandwich. He said this as if I was supposed to be ok with a poorly prepared, dry sandwich with only half of what I wanted.
The owner does not want to take responsibility for his chefs poor prep work, and he would rather keep making excuses than listen to his customers. I have only received defensive tirades, and never an apology.
To anyone reading this, The Chit Chat Diner, while a bit more expensive, is MUCH better quality. Order from there if you would rather not deal with bad...
Read moreWish I could give it 0 stars. I was suppose to be at work at 1 but decided to arrive by 1230 and eat lunch before starting. I ordered through grubhub and asked for the delivery to be between 1215 and 1230. At 1120 my coworker called to tell me my food was delivered. She explained to him that delivery was for 1230 but HE DIDNT SPEAK ENGLISH!! HOW DO YOU HAVE A DRIVERS LICENSE TO DELIVER BUT DONT SPEAK ENGLISH?? The receipt said delivery for 1230 so it was an error on the restaurant not grubhub.I contacted grubhub to request some sort of refund because by the time I got to work the food would have been cold and soggy. Grubhub told me they would reach out to the restaurant because they use their own delivery guy. Well the restaurant agreed to remake and deliver the food by 1230. I arrived to work 1215 and waited. By 1PM still no food. Contacted grubhub again and they said the restaurant wasnt answering the phone. So they processed a full refund. So now I decide to just reheat the food the best I could using the toaster. When I opened it up it was horrible. SEE PICTURES. The lettuce for the burger was rotten, half black and slimy. The sweet potato fries, although browned on the outside were completely RAW and hard. The avocado that I paid almost $2 extra for was brown around the edges and tasted moldy. I asked for well done but burger was pink in the middle. The fact that they wouldnt answer the phone for grub hub or redeliver shows a huge lack of customer service or any type of respect for their custoners. Read moreABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE FOOD. I once ordered (delivery) form this restaurant weekly. Approximately 2 months ago I noticed that the food portion was noticeably reduced. Furthermore, the quality of the food was completely horrendous. We’ve tried to give them multiple chances to redeem themselves but they’ve continued to fail my wife and I. The bread was hard, the chicken (chicken parm) was paper thin and over cooked, the French fries were cold and soggy, the French toasts were soggy buttered bread, chicken wings were salty and over cooked, and the over all delivery service was subpar. I will NEVER order from fairmount eats again because today I order their food for the last time (a waste of $30). My wife disputed the charge. I tried Presto’s pizza (3 blocks away for Fairmount eats) today and it was a breath of fresh air (food)
Update: My wife reached out to Fairmount eats in efforts to process the due credit. The employee (female) that answered the phone stated that a driver would return to our address to recover the food then the refund would be processed. Over and hour later, we did NOT hear from Fairmount eats nor an associated deliverer. So we drove during a tropical storm (Sunday August 22, 2021) to the restaurant only to be told that the return was credited. When my wife asked for a receipt, she was told that their system is down so they couldn’t produce a receipt for her. CUSTOMER SERVICE BASICS ARE ABSOLUTELY...
