In times when gas and food prices are going up, up, up with no relief anywhere you gotta cut corners where you can. We were loyal shoppers to our store but decided to try Aldi's and I wasn't disappointed. The prices are definitely cheaper are your basic items like vegetables and fruit. Snacks and cereal are also less than other stores like Shop rite, Trader Joe's. What you save in price there is a lack in variety and in that invariability you can find a handful of brands but don't count to see your favorite brands all over. You gotta be flexible in your choosing. When it comes to the cheese, meat and poultry it is slim pickings. You won't find lobster or scallops for that matter if your into the hot food bars, deli section with people cutting your meats fresh then this isn't the place. However the shelf are stocked constantly with stockers working to keep items full on the shelves. I spilled a pint of blueberries on the floor and it was cleaned up in a matter of minutes. The aisles are clean and the store is definitely free flowing with multiple self checkouts the crowd doesn't seem as cramped as it does at a Shoprite or Trader Joe's. I did go grab a few things from my traditional store and filled my cart 1/4 of what I did when I shopped at Aldi's but spent almost as much. You guys just gained a...

I honestly do not know what this cashiers problem was this morning, specifically TAIWAN, at 9:12am in the Hackensack, NJ location. I asked 3 times whether his line took cash and he ignored me 3 times and blamed this on the fact that he was fixing a problem with another customer. (Your job entails multitasking) Now I have been in the word of customer service since I was 16 years old, now 43, and I must say him ignoring me and not even acknowledging me even to say good morning I will be right with you...is just plain rude and inconsiderate...he should perhaps be better suited as a stocking employee and that's a huge maybe. And the attitude...his words dripping so nicely to the next customer after me on his line that he is "having a better morning more than some."...directing it about me. And also assuming that everyone that goes there is a regular customer and that I should know off the bat that his lane took cash. I wanted to say so many things but I am not going to pour my opinions on a jackass that does not deserve to be on the floor speaking with customers nor does not deserve my attention. More than this post. Donkey of the day goes to this guy. Aldi, DO BETTER! and a sidenote...he smells of B.O. Please have your employees clean and without a stench. I will never set foot inside an...

I have gone to aldis almost 5 years now and today may be my last i usually buy a lot of items in large quantity because i enjoy their selection and for my restaurant i have never had an issue with this until today when i overheard a manager whisper to a cashier when she saw me, she told him he is not leaving with all that, when it was my turn in line the cashier kindly said that he was not allowed to sell me the 6 cases of product i wanted to purchase at normal price i was not expecting a lower price for it and when i asked to speak to the manager who i had seen whisper to him before pretty loudly he is not leaving with all that she explained to me that this was a “new” store policy and that they are not a warehouse for me and when i asked her where does it say i cannot purchase this select amount she said it doesnt say it anywhere its her responsibility to prevent me from buying that much product and continued to be extremely rude and saying that im being extremely difficult when i was not and i was using a very respectful tone until i told her that i dont want any of the product and as i walked away she continued to talk about me to other customers and to the cashier she is so lucky i did not see her name she is very disrespectful and has no right to be a manager absolutely...

I spend most of my food dollars at Costco Wholesale, Whole Foods Market and ShopRite, so even though the Aldi in Hackensack is only a few blocks from my home, I rarely shop there. The store is SMALL, and the selection is limited, but prices seem reasonable. The limited selection goes for organic products, too. Today, I drove over to pick up jars of organic salsa and a small bag of organic rice after my wife said she was running out of the latter. Aldi is German owned, and many items on the shelves are produced by Aldi, including organic items like salsa and rice sold under the Simply Nature label. This supermarket doesn't use plastic bags, the cashiers are seated and they place your items in a shopping cart, which you move to a counter near the front windows to pack your purchases in your own reusable bags or ones bought from Aldi. Another quirk is that you won't find small shopping baskets to carry, only shopping carts, but there is no prohibition against placing the items you want in the reusable bag you bring with you. If you don't empty the bag after you place it on the conveyor belt, the cashier will, and make sure it is empty before he or she rings you up.

2020,April 22 Hour: 9 am to 5 pm during Pandemic For the Vulnerable: Tuesday and Thursday morning from 8:30am to 9:30am. Stay safe everyone! 2019.12.11 It's almost Christmas 2019. You will find toys and goodies in Aldi during this time. I found an Ornament with packaged cheese on fridge shelf which is exceptional cute. Also found, other than 100's other gift items, seasons' greeting cards @$.99 each with at least 20 different selections. This is a great place to shop, with the least struggles, during this holiday season. BTW, be careful of unpleasant cut-in from your fellow shoppers. That's definitely a mood breaker for anyone! 2019-08-26 Best almond milk found! $2.29 per 64oz. Great location, unbelievable prices, clean and open store front. 5 check out counters only, expect to wait in line. Selections of produce change every week, you can sign up for special sales. Aldi. us Need to prepare a quarter in order to use the shopping cart. Not very convenient for elderly, or shoppers who have a full load of merchandise. Also, Aldi does not provide free shopping bags, a rather environmental conscious supermarket. Love it! Remember to bring your own!
