Our experience was truly bizarre. The location is an unrefurbished counter service slot in a strip mall that has seen better days.
We were not greeted as we entered, but someone did eventually come out from the back and indicated one of the tables to us as we stood there perplexed about the seating arrangements. The tables are too large for the tiny space and are arranged in rows with little space between them.
There are tissue boxes on the tables that served as napkin dispensers.
We would’ve left at this point, but the youngest member of our party was very hungry and had specifically requested sushi.
The menu had a lot of “fast food” sushi items, as well as noodles and a small Thai dishes section.
Ordering was a big problem as the person taking the order did not seem to understand much English at all, even with the number system. I am certain it was very stressful for them as well and I wonder why the restaurant didn’t have anyone on their staff who could speak more than a few words of English, especially in a suburban location.
The sushi overall was about at the level of a competent home cook. They brought out an extra California roll complements of the house and later served us more wasabi and ginger as we were finishing the last pieces.
They seem to be aware that things aren’t going well.
My recommendation would be to check them out in six months, if they are still around. I hope they have an opportunity to overcome their...
Read moreOur first visit today was a delight, being just a block away. Upon entering, a friendly young lady warmly greeted us, handed us menus, and invited us to signal when ready to order. Opting for sushi, sashimi, two Thai teas, and a Sakura roll, our bill totaled $54.98. The portions were generous, easily satisfying two diners with leftovers to spare. The combo included a soup and salad, enhancing the value. As our meal was prepared, one of the cooks engaged us in conversation. An added bonus was their $50 spending incentive which I thought was cute , offering a charming trinket as a gift (a small keychain or other option were available as well). Overall, impeccable customer service and delectable cuisine at an...
Read moreYuzu has officially replaced our usual go-to sushi spot! My husband and I have both dined in and gotten takeout several times, and every experience has been consistently excellent. The service is always friendly and attentive, and the food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
We originally discovered Yuzu while riding our bikes—it’s that close to home—and we’ve been hooked ever since. There’s plenty of parking, which makes it convenient whether we’re biking or driving. Plus, it’s BYOB, which is a great bonus. Highly recommend if you’re looking for...
