First, Harlan is a nice guy. Without question, the nicest contractor I have ever dealt with. Unfortunately, there is very little exceptional about his work. I contracted with Pinnacle to paint walls only (same color except in 1 room - 1200sq ft) under the impression that they were a competent and professional group. The quote process went flawlessly, and while it certainly was not inexpensive, seemed reasonable for the scope of work requested. They were 1.5 days late for starting the job, but were quite professional and communicative about it.

The grievances I have with the actual work are numerous and include:

Was told a crew of 3 individuals would be at my house for three days. Instead I had a crew of 2 for three days Numerous roller marks can be seen throughout the house. I know how to paint - this is just sloppy work Outlet covers were not replaced, apparently screws for them were lost and no efforts to find a solution were attempted several outlets were painted over touch-up work was sub-standard and remains noticeable numerous instances of wall paint can be found on trim furniture was moved w/o pads resulting in scratched hardwood floors. requests regarding what items to patch and not were not followed numerous paint splatters remain on floors house was left completely filthy

It saddened my greatly to see the total lack of attention to detail that was paid to the job as I paid a higher than average rate expecting a higher than average result. Harlan was amiable to returning to fix some of the issues (the issues fixed are not accounted for above), but it seems that there is a fundamental lack of understanding to what a "good" paint job is.

I would highly suggest looking elsewhere for painting services. In my opinion, my house looks worse now then prior to being painted, and my bank account is...

A friend of mine referred Pinnacle Painters to me as my husband and I recently bought an older home in Philly. We are SO happy that we went with Harlan and his team. Harlan came out to give us a quote and spent over an hour walking through all of the things that could be done and explaining the processes. This was very comforting, especially as a first time home buyer. We had a significant amount of work that needed to be done (painting walls/trim/doors, window trim installed, quarter round installed, dry wall installation, exposing a brick wall, exterior painting and the list goes on). Harlan was great to work with and thoroughly explained each of the items on the quote.

The team was able to start very soon after receiving the quote. They were very diligent and ensured that I was kept in the loop on the progress that had been made each day. They continually provided input and suggestions on what could be done at the house. The team exposed a brick wall in one of the bedrooms and re-pointed the brick where necessary. One of my favorite things was a column that Harlan built around an exposed duct. The column is now a statement piece in our home and we are so grateful for it.
