Update 09/05/2025
We reorder food from this restaurant for dinner and we decided to give one more star to make it five stars. Woo-hoo 🙌
Here are the following dishes that we order:
Steamed Dumplings: Reordered. This dish i still rate 8/10 because it’s still the same; dry and quite bland.
Tom Yum soup with mixed seafood was amazing! I loved it. It's delicious and packed with protein, making it worth every penny of the up-charge. In the soup, it had 3 green cleaned mussels, three large shrimps, bunch of cuttlefish/squid, and a few scallops. The broth is just right, not too salty at all. This time is 10/10.
Papaya salad: The seasoning is good but wish it was a little bit more salty. This dish to me is more westernized, so the taste is not strong like the authentic papaya salad. It comes with 2 grilled shrimps. I think with the amount of salad, it should be 4-6 shrimps. I would rate this dish 8/10.
Shrimp Pas See Ew: It’s delicious!!!! The noodle cooked just right. 7 Large shrimps with fresh broccoli. I would rate this 10/10.
Keeps up the good work!!!!
——————————————————————— We ordered our takeout on 03/23/2025.
Atmosphere - Modern yet inviting. Clean. I want to dine in next time.
Service - The hostess was very polite and patient. I purposely took a bit more time to order and ask questions about certain dishes to see if they gave me an attitude like other restaurants, but the hostess answered me directly and patiently.
Food - We ordered the following:
Steamed Dumplings: This appetizer contains crab meat and other ingredients. It tastes good. My husband liked it a lot. Based on my taste, I rate this 8/10.
Gyoza: It was just like any other fried dumplings or potstickers. It was just okay. It didn't have a lot of taste. It's a bit bland. I recommend not deep-frying it to the point it burns. I rate this dish 5/10.
Tom Yum Soup: Ah!!! It's delicious!!! I loved it. I loved the broth. It was so flavorful, and unlike other Thai restaurants, the fish sauce didn't taste too salty. I requested shrimp as protein for my soup. I got three jumbo shrimp. The shrimp were fresh. It should have included five shrimp instead of three to make the dish more worthwhile. I rate this dish 9/10.
Kua Gai: My husband mentioned that this dish left no "woo" impression. It was just "alright." This dish had chicken, but you can choose other available proteins. My husband chose chicken. They used white meat, so some will be dry at some point when it comes to stir-frying. Also, the chicken was sliced too thin and small, so most dried up. Cutting the meat a bit thicker and not too small would be better. I would rate this dish 7/10.
Drunken Noodle: This dish was so close to being 10/10. The protein was beef. I asked to cook rare meat because I don't like chewy meat. They minced the beef at some point. 50% was thick cut, and the rest was thin and minor cut. I love that they added Thai basil leaves to this dish, which has an authentic taste. I didn't see this from other Thai restaurants. I rate this dish 9.5/10.
I would rate this new Thai restaurant 4.7/5 and recommend it to...
Read moreMy roommate and I visited this restaurant last night, for the first time. When we arrived, there were only two other tables. After being seated, we waited probably 10 minutes before being greeted by our server, which was fine, but kind of surprising since there was basically no one there. Although the server was kind, she didn’t say much or seem very friendly. Her introduction was, “Ready to order?” When I ordered a Coke to drink, she asked, “diet or regular?” which, being a server myself, I would NEVER ask. When a customer wants a Diet Coke, they order a Diet Coke. Anyway, I then ordered our appetizers, which were the chicken satay and the wings. I also ordered a house salad. For my entree, I ordered one of the Chef’s Specials - Kow Soy. My roommate ordered the Tom Kha soup and Crispy Basil Duck (another Chef’s Special). The wings were the first thing to come out (even before drinks), about 10 minutes later. They were amazing, and so was the sauce that came with them. Would definitely recommend. Then came the chicken satay, which was just okay. The sauce that came with it was pretty bland, but not bad. Next came my salad and my roommate’s soup. My roommate seemed to really enjoy the soup. My salad was okay, but the peanut sauce/dressing (the same sauce that came with the chicken satay app, I think) was borderline flavorless. I literally couldn’t taste any peanut whatsoever. Our entrees came out a few minutes later. While I enjoyed the Kow Soy, it TOO closely resembled (flavor wise) the chicken tikka masala I get at Sitar of India (which I love). I wasn’t expecting this at all. The curry wasn’t yellow, as advertised, but more of an orangey brown-ish color. Maybe it’s my fault, but I expected it to more closely resemble a similar dish I get at Bangkok On Franklin. Their yellow curry is actually yellow. The dish was still delicious, but the one type of food I told my roommate I didn’t want tonight was Indian, so when the dish I got resembled an Indian dish, I was a little disappointed. I should’ve gotten the Pad Thai, which I was originally planning to. That being said, the egg noodles in the Kow Soy dish were AMAZING (best I’ve ever had, by far), and the spice level was just right. The menu said the dish is served with chili oil on the side, which I’m just now realizing it wasn’t. My roommate enjoyed his entree, but didn’t rave about it, or say anything other than that it was very good. Would I recommend this restaurant? For sure. Would I go back? Probably, but only if Bangkok On Franklin wasn’t open, which is why we chose to give this place a try. It was definitely good, but also definitely not the best around. The rave reviews are deceiving, in my opinion, and likely written by people who haven’t been to more than one or two Thai...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this restaurant about a week ago and they were not open yet and were originally planning to go to our favorite Vietnamese place in Hagerstown but they were closed today so we decided to give Mee Thai a try.
This turned out to be a really delicious dinner and my Vietnamese wife liked everything.
We ordered the tofu soup and requested no American broccoli. The broth was very flavorful and even after sampling the other items including the Pad Fresh Ginger we went back to the soup and the broth still tasted really good.
The Calamari was very lightly breaded and I generally don't like the sweet and sour sauce I get at restaurants, but the sauce with this was different. It was not too sweet and very tangy with a little bit of a spicy after kick, needless to say my wife liked it too.
I ordered the Pad Thai but my wife almost stole it from me, she said it was the best Pad Thai she'd had in quite a while.
The Pad Fresh Ginger was quite good, my wife wished they'd put in more vegetables and less chicken, fortunately I liked the chicken.
I posted pictures of most of the food earlier but I'm going to add the Jasmine Rice which my wife says is good rice and the dipping sauce that came with...
