Yesterday was my very first visit to Denny's Lennies, and what brought me here was their Veteran's Appreciation Event in honor of Veteran's Day. This event was sponsored by the MITER Foundation. I served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 6.5 years (2005-2012) and medically retired. This event offered a free select meal for Veterans plus a free meal for any Veteran's one guest! I found this absolutely awesome that they took care of a Veteran's guest in addition to the Vet! The event meal options were a choice between a Roast Beef or Hot Turkey dinner that included mash potatoes w/gravy, sweet corn, and bread stuffing. They also offered a free drink for each dinner. We personally chose the Roast Beef Dinner and the food was absolutely amazing and they definitely did not short any of the food items within the meal. The staff and the sponsors were extremely welcoming and very tentative to all that had come to their establishment. They made you feel beyond special and gave a very family type experience like you were one of their regular visitors. The atmosphere inside was very warming, relaxed, and positive. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area for not only their delicious home cooked style food but for their 5-Star customer care and service. This location is very Family Friendly and I now will make this establishment a frequent restaurant to...
Read moreWe had been here once before, and she absolutely loved the chocolate truffle dessert, plus the sandwiches that day were pretty good. Today, though, was a bit of a disappointment. We stopped in there only wanting coffee and dessert, and after being informed that they had pretty much completely replenished the desserts, we were told that they were out of the dessert that my lady had been looking forward to. She ended up getting a"chocolate mousse" bit of cake, and it was only so-so. I got something that was supposed to be a coconut cream cake, which turned out to be a yellow cake with some kind of stuff in between the layers and a "frosting" on the outside that seemed to be cool-whip! The only coconut in evidence was a bit of it on the outside of the cake. The real surprise came when we got the check, which amounted to almost $20.00 for two coffees and two "gourmet" desserts.
Service was prompt and friendly, but there seemed to be some difficulty in recognizing that there was a patron standing there with cash in hand and ready to leave.
I may or may not be back here, but I sure won't be going out of my way to...
Read moreI'm actually quite disappointed. I haven't eaten here since the fall, I've always ordered the cream chipped beef meal with a side of scrapple. Always was a healthy portion and full plate. This time however, I received a measuring cups worth of "home fries" and a single half toasted English muffin With a barely hot boat of gravy. I wish I took a picture to show how pathetic the portion was. It was barely half a plates worth after I put it all together. And for 12$ additionally my scrapple slice was half its normal size aswell. The worst part was, i had a large party that hadn't been there in a year and all were highly disappointed with portions aswell and ended up eating a second meal somewhere else.
I get economics have changed but charge us for the portions rather then raise price and cut meals
