The Local Scoop — Restaurant in Hallowell

Last couple of times I've come was not the greatest. The girls don't seem to be very attentive to the order I've placed now 2 different times. I ordered a large with strawberry cheesecake, and banana cream pie. I was met with more of one flavor than the other the first time (like maybe one scoop of strawberry cheesecake and 3 of banana cream pie) . This time, I ONLY got strawberry cheesecake when I had ordered the exact same as last time. I had zero clue thinking maybe the last scoop in the cone was maybe the Banana cream pie, but I was rather upset to find the opposite. Mind you I've been coming here and showing support the last couple years, but I'm not thrilled with my experience with consistent mess ups the last two times I've come in the past 2 weeks. When your Google business listing says 2:00 p.m. is the time that you're open. And you have someone drive to Hallowell on a 93° day to get an ice cream cone at 2:00 p.m., only to walk up to the business and the sign says 3:00 p.m. and the business isn't open - It's very frustrating. To compound the confusion - the window to the business was open with the employees inside, but none of them could be bothered to clarify even while we stood outside the fence debating the confusion. So I can't leave a review other than all of the negative from driving all this way to get an ice cream at 2:00 p.m. when the Google listing...

Unfortunately had a bad experience at the Local Scoop today... First time customers and won't be back. I ordered the Strawberry Fields Forever sundae and my sundae came missing 3 out of 5 extras... when brought to their attention, they still missed 2 out of 5 toppings while remaking. They also serve Giffords ice cream - no sign stating this - and we aren't fans of overpaying for grocery store quality ice cream. Big miss - hope they do...
