Not helpful and not reflective of the other reviews. I don't typically go to jewelers but I knew I wanted to support a local jeweler so I went here. I went in with some pictures of rings that I liked, the older gentleman behind the counter almost immediately takes out an order slip and asks me questions which I answer. I took the pictures off of an online store that had rings of cheaper quality and I wanted one that was a bit nicer. I think he thought I wanted a ring of that price even though I never said that...I was very confused because I was not given any info about how the process works so I asked. He said they would look up some stores for me, which I do not understand in the slightest, I can look up online stores... if I wanted to buy it online, I would. I waited a little over a week for a call back and I was told they could not help me and gave me the name of an Etsy store I could look at... I know how...

I looked everywhere for a jewelry store who could size my trinity ring. The chain stores send it away and that made me uncomfortable. My husband remember Turner's in Hallowell. We went in and right off had a good feeling. The lady, I have forgotten her name, she was so friendly, funny, and explained that she has a person who does the repairs including sizing. He worked at GM pollack for a long time and i was very happy to know that, my husband purchased most of the jewelry I have at GM Pollack. I dropped it off, picked it up the next week, sized and clean and shiny. Cost 1/3 of what JC Penney quoted and no chance it would have been lost sent "away." Jack Turner Jewelers in Hallowell, Maine is my favorite jewelry store. Over the years my family has dealt with a few others and we always come back to Jack Turner Jewelers. My engagement ring came from there and so did my mother-in-law's. My husband picked up other fine pieces of jewelry there as well.
