This Cafe is inside the Grounds of Sculpture. Its themed as per its namesake. You find the famed paintings of Van Gogh on its ceiling and walls. There is alsi a life-size statue of Van Gogh outside the cafe. The pastries , they offer, are decent too.

Really upset for the following:

I get asked if I want or don’t want food/pastries/coffee as the line moves before reaching cashier, making everything confusing.

2.The cashier/barista is really distracted, the staff is really young and untrained.

Because of distractions I was charged two extra cookies (each bakery product it’s $5) and extra juice ($3) (I’ll explain this)

After accepting the first cookie due to distractions of the cashier/barista, we get charged 30 bucks for two cold lattes and 3 pastries (coffee cake and one cookie (handled to us by mistake) and a mistakenly charged small apple juice). Me and gf proceeded with the purchase thinking the place it’s simply overpriced

When picking up the pastries (which I forgot to mention they were cold and served poorly) the barista/cashier handles me and my gf the apple juice, we told her we didn’t order that and we got charged for a juice we never asked for… barista seemed confused just if she messed up two different orders.

Barista offers to give another cookie in exchange of the apple juice… we proceed.

When trying the coffees (we ordered to cold lattes with caramel and almond milk) we realized the flavor was weird and we came to the conclusion the coffee is not fresh and reheated from previous days.

When taking a closer look, we see milk was really dense and had cloths and was easily separating from the coffee (milk and coffee seemed caducated and old)

We decide to leave everything on the table and bring this to the attention of the kids, which seemed perplexed and didn’t know how to act. I tried to be empathetic with all of them expressing how I know the milk problem it’s not their fault but they should check all of that prior to preparing drinks…

The same barista who charged us the two extra items and made everything confusing told me that “it was the caramel that was causing this effect”. I simply said that I don’t think so as I worked as a barista before… (I tried to be as polite as possible)

The girl offers me another coffee to compensate but I rejected the offer as she did that with the juice/cookie situation. And I lost my appetite after drinking that latte…

Things I would recommend:

Please train staff and how to correctly attend customers with ORGANIZATION.

Find a way to heat pastries and have fresh food! Everything tastes OLD

Really overpriced, payed more and had a worse experience than in a Starbucks at NYC.

Stop trying to fix problems by offering more food, simply refund the money or negotiate with customer prior to force them to take another item instead

Place looked dead-ish inside.

Prices not worth service and quality.

Hope this review helps, I understand they are young baristas, but a good training session...

I paid $12 for 2oz of prosecco when I could have gotten a 6 oz glass of Cabernet for $10. Which I was going to get a glass of wine (6oz) for $10 but asked if I could upcharge it for prosecco like my friends drink instead of the Cabernet and the server said "yes but you have to pay more for it still, it will be the $12 price to pay as the "holiday drink" but just a glass of prosecco" To my surprise when she handed me a 2oz glass of prosecco with a literal tree of rosemary in it I was a little thrown off as this was not what we had just discussed at all. She could have told me from the start of will only be 2oz that I can pour you though so you get more bang for your buck with the wine glass. So I asked where the rest of the wine was because as we discussed the 6oz glass of Cabernet was $10 but if I paid $12 I could do the prosecco instead, and she simply walked away without even helping and wouldn't come back from the kitchen. I literally got ripped off and then abandoned. Such a bad look for the cafe I would never have someone represent my business in that way as if she is making commission off the up-priced drink that she described entirely wrong. Never bringing anyone...

This place felt worse than prison. I was starving and shivering in the cold, and the only oasis was what posed as a “cute” “cafe”. Since there were no other food options, I settled for a homemade soup. But, as I tried to order it, the server berates me and is confused why I would ever order that, while standing in front of a sign that said Homemade Soup. I was forced to spend 17 dollars on what was the worst sandwich I have ever eaten. Despite the luxury cost, it was clearly prepackaged and made with one scrap of wilted green thing, one micron of cheese, and stomach churning roast beef. I eat a lot of sandwiches, and I’ve never felt this was about one that was supposed to be “artisan”. I could make better myself for 1/9 of the cost. I was SICKENED. the coffee was also bad water with...
