My boyfriend said let’s go to Neils barbecue, remember you ordered the whiting fish before, and you loved it? Yes! That’s the one that had lemon on it? And I got The mac & cheese and green beans? Yes I loved it! Green beans are really good, seasoning on them was great. My boyfriend said we gotta support my people, (black owned businesses), their is not enough, especially in Hamilton! This time I went and got pulled pork and greens, mac & cheese again, of course! He was trying to get the rib sandwich, he always talks about how good it is but we do get there late in the day so it was gone but I left with getting the pulled pork sandwich, going to order extra sauce next time.I wish it was mixed together really wet, I like the sauce it’s just not enough on the sandwiches. For a person who loves greens I don’t know what’s in there but it’s just too much, salt or some other seasoning, otherwise I would’ve gave this place a five star I love the people, they’re friendly and I don’t Know if they’re family owned but you could see they take pride in what they do and it shows, we love Neils BBQ and can’t wait to come back!!! ...

Their jerk chicken is quite basically Tyson's chicken breasts reheated in a microwave and topped off with some sweet and sour sauce. This is not a cut of a fresh piece of meat. This is a manufactured piece of garbage. It is a puck of meat that is completely dry and served cold. I can't reiterate this enough. The jerk chicken had absolutely zero flavor and was served cold.
The fries are exactly the kind that you buy in a freezer aisle. It's almost as if zero effort was put into any item on the plate. The Mac & Cheese was more water and cheese than it was mac. The Mixed Greens were straight from a can to the plate. And the cole slaw was warmer than the jerk chicken.
This restaurant is completely devoid of any creativity. They will charge you premium prices for food quality that competes with a gas station. Service is subpar. Our table wasn't given silverware until several minutes after the...
Read moreYou know it's funny to work with a man that tries to uphold his reputation and be a good business owner. Mike Neal was walking into a convenience store down from his restaurant and deliberately shoved me out of his way now is that respectful coming from a supposably good business owner and humble took over around seven people. And yeah you can say I'm a disgruntled former employee. On another note he microwaves his food from the day before and serves it I've seen the food actually sit for 2 days and be served nobody wants to eat warmed up ribs I wonder how he got that business in the first hand . Maybe Mr Mike Neal will think twice about...
