We celebrated our daughterâs 24th birthday here last night, while it was many of the guests first time, others hadnât been to the restaurant in years. The atmosphere was very intimate and warm, our area was well prepared, we had enough space for our party of 12. Upon sitting, our waiter âCourt or Cortâ took drink orders, was attentive to everyone and he answered our questions and concerns without hesitation. We were disappointed that the restaurant âran outâ of crab cakes; only one person from our party was able to order crab cakes before we were told they were outâŠvery disappointing because mostly everyone was having that as an appetizer. Note: Reservations were at 6:30p on a Friday night. We all proceeded to order entrees, we waited 45mins for the food to start flowing out. As we waited, I asked our waiter if there were any breads that were available to us as we waited; there were no complimentary breads available. A few entrees that I remember were, steak tips (small portion), fish of the day which I had and it was absolutely delicious!!!, surf and turf, lasagne and salad with grilled shrimp which all received high praise. Our waiter lit the candles on the cake when it was time and also served everyone with a slice. I rated this review 4 stars across the board because of the crab cakes, the surprise up-charge when using a credit or debit card (which we did not notice on the menu or wasnât told before ordering our meals), the 45min wait for food and a few guests rated their meal a 3/10. We will definitely visit again, overall we were pleased with...
Read moreFOOD-Myself and 2 new friends had dinner here today and we ordered The brussel sprouts which were so flavorful and the lardons gave awesome little burst of bacon flavor throughout. The beef tips with red onions and sauce was super tender and juicy! The deviled eggs just immediate creamy and smooth and topped with the softest salmon and packed with amazing flavors! We all ordered the fillets which were all perfectly cooked. Loved the boubon pecan pie which was great but id was already at my brim after the first bite.
SERVICE - i regretfully must admit that i dont recall his name and am unable to make a fair review of my waiter due to my immediate attraction to him! Seriously tho to the red headed guy who made me a full on totalled wreck of nerves and rendering me speechless every time you walked up thanks for making my birthday even more awesome. My friend however scored you a 10/10 on hospitality, 10/10 on attentiveness, 10/10 on likeability, and 10/10on you sence of humor.
The restaurant- being my first time it was a quick flash of a whimsical architecture with strong and artfully structured layout, definitely a venue id choose for special occasions with a partner, a family meal for tjose special occasions, for the most meaningfull birthday a guy could have ever wished for. Its place ls like this that keep the food industry and industry.
Ill definitely be returning. Hopefully ill get a due over with the waiter of my dreams. And that long island ice tea was the...
Read moreWent for first time "with a reservation" for 6:30pm. Was there on time and party of six seated outside. Beautiful evening, nice start. I mentioned to fellow diner "I hope we do get forgotten out here." How prophetic! Cut to the story, it was extremely too long for drink orders to be placed and even longer for the waiter to show up and take food order. Ordered a salad to be shared between me and my wife. No extra plate or bowl when salad finally arrived. Extra bowl showed up after we ate salad. My steak was ordered medium and delivered warm medium rare. Didn't send back, afraid I would never eat. Side of carrots was a total of 6 fingerlings for $8.00. Brabant potatoes were over salted. Took almost 75 minutes for food to finally be served. Was steak nite so a 20% gratuity was added to bill. Whole party was upset with service so we asked for bill to be adjusted. Waiter said that restaurant initially had 20 reservations but had 60 by nite's end. Short on wait staff, only 3 on duty. So sorry but not MY Problem. Manager on duty finally came over and said that 20% gratuity was warranted because we ate the food and didn't talk to her sooner. She insinuated that we were lying about service and could not believe it took so long and she could only comp drinks. My wife had an iced tea and I had water. I could not believe how generous she was! Finally after her consulting with manager off duty, she comped 50% of meal. ...
