This is the first time I've been to the Columbia theater since I was a kid it was just as I remembered. Actually the last time that I was in the Columbia theater was for Star wars empire strikes back. And what brought me back to the Columbia theater again was Star wars a one-man show. I brought my 11 year old son told him about all the exciting movies I had saw at this great old theater. I am now looking forward to bringing him and my other younger son to many plays and musicals and any other great events that the Columbia theater Will be showing. This is a great part of the history of the city of Hammond and I hope that we're able to keep this alive for a long time for the even to be able to show my grandkids one day. Read moreFirst Class facility for any small performance. My daughter had her ballet performance there and it was a great layout for seeing the stage from any seat in the house. The theater is conveniently located in downtown Hammond and not very hard to get to. You do have to plan a little in advance for parking because street parking is the only option around. The only reason why I give the place 4 starts instead of 5 is because they did not have any concessions. Concessions would have been nice during a two and a half hour...
