Painting with a Twist — Attraction in Hammond

My daughter wanted to do this as a family experience before she went back to school. She loves to paint, but we have never painted a canvas piece before. It was very nerve racking at first because we walked in to a light sketch on a canvas and we were expected to walk out with a beautiful piece of art. Well, that's exactly what we did. We ended up relaxing, had some snacks, helped and encouraged each other, and most of all we had fun together. And yes, we ended up walking out of there with beautiful pieces of art that we were all proud of. I highly recommend trying this experience out. First time going and we had so much fun! We attended the “Open Studio Night” where you get to pick your own painting. Everyone went at their own pace but the instructors were still available to help. Occasionally I couldn’t find someone for my next step but all others attending were very nice and helpful too!! We brought our own drinks and food, took a break for a quick game, and they had great music playing the whole time. A little more expensive than what I would prefer, so it may be awhile before I attend again, but it was a lot of fun and overall worth it! The greatest thing I love about a business is the accessibility to the person in charge to inform, to answer questions, to solve any little problem the costumer may face. I experienced that with the honor of Paint with a Twist, Miss Marylyn. I called several times she answered within the second ring. The party was a blest!!! !!
