Waffle House — Restaurant in Hammond

Over night shift. Very very unprofessional!! As soon as I pull up everyone's sitting outside smoking staring in my car like "don't she see a closed sign." But wasn't closed. Got out waitress yapping with a lot of swearing. She watched me go in and have a seat and still didn't come behind me. Finally comes in and asked if it was for here or to go. (No greeting nor apology for waiting) Took my order, then replied let me go an get my cook which was one of the guys amongst them outside. So they all came in. Loudest one again the waitress swearing again. "Just filthy" So the cook comes in to prepare the order, grabs the waffle containers... I said nope cut it short there and walked out. The swearing from the waitress got me wanting to leave already but coming back in from a smoke break without washing hands... made it even worst. Warning ⚠️ Watch closely when your food is...

I placed an order for pick up at about 2:50am for a pecan waffle with sweet tea, cheese grits, and bacon. The lady who took my order was very professional, gave me my total before I hung up and an approximate time to pick up my food. When I arrived, my food was prepared with no mistakes, it was already bagged, and the same lady who took my order prepared my ice tea promptly. I don't like a drink that has been sitting because it gets watered down. So, I appreciated this authentic touch of excellent service! Finally she rang up my order, I paid, and left. I was in and out within 5 minutes. With that being said, please note this is Sunday early morning.... They were extremely busy and I still received...

I was very disappointed. There was a point in time where I worked here, so going back for an eat seemed like a good idea. When I went there (it was late at night), the waitress was very nosey and her hair was very disorganized, so much so that I checked my food for loose hair. She took a while getting our drinks to us, but it didn't take forever. When we got our food, there was a funny taste to everything, ESPECIALLY the grits. I would not finish my grits. It could have been worse but I will definitely not be eating there again. Restaurant seemed dirty, and silverware...
