First and last time at Marquez. Absolutely worst dining experience, big fat zero stars. The most egregious part was being given menus with old prices and no warning by the server of prices not being accurate on the menu. So when I reviewed my bill, I asked why the difference of some 20% higher? Now at this point, I am willing to accept a number of responses, but to be told "Oh my bad" is not one of them. My mama didn't raise no fool and I will try to frame this as poor training and not something more sinister like being judged for the car I drive, the shoes I wear or the color of my skin. Beyond that, where to start: the peeling paint right next to the table crammed into the corner; the poor attention by the server, lack of service throughout the meal, the average food, the waiting for service at every step -- ordering, the food sat in the service window for over five minutes. The place was NOT crowded. The asking for the bill, twice I had to get up and track down the server. I have never not tipped a server, but this was a first. And a reminder that tips stands for To Insure Proper Service. Don't waste your time and money. Date night got off to a bad start by trying some place new and giving a try at Marquez Mexican Grill in...

Woooooow woooow 🤩🤩🤩

Food was really amazing , recommend the AL PASTOR TACOS and THE CHICKEN TACOS both were truely freaking AMAZING❤️❤️ couldn’t decide which is better!!!! The guacamole 🥑🥑🥑was sooooo FRESH!!! Def recommended as well.

The tortilla chips on the other hand were a little too hard and some were too crunchy

SERVICE was quick and I mean quick , we sat at one of the small tables , young lady named ( Arhely ), was super quick and very very attentive and super polite. When you go in I definitely recommend asking for her!

Atmosphere was cool vibes , music was calm and relaxing , doors were open entire time so 1-2 flies were wondering around , here and there which may be the only annoying part but besides that the place is freaking fantastic and super recommend if you want real Mexican style tacos 🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮

PRICE WAS 💯 % fair !!!!!! No questions asked take my...

No customer service skills. Gave us wrong order. Had me drive back and told me I should pay for the wrong order since it had a bite out of it. Also stated I said beef lol. Shrimp and beef are very different.Try getting the order right and not having your loyal customer drive another 10 miles back. You really need some proper etiquette training. My whole office in Hammonton orders from here, but we won’t anymore. The way you treated a customer was so unprofessional. Chase a customers car down. Never seen anything like it. Otherwise the food is excellent but just not worth being treated so poorly. One more sidenote I could not believe that they truly asked for the old order back after it’s been in my house. **warning to all- that they may be selling this food to someone else. If that is the case that is...

I like this place, not just the food, but the vibe. Imagine diner meets Mexican restaurant, it's not something you typically find. Now about the food, this place has your typical authentic tacos, burritos, etc. But what makes it unique is it's Jalisco style cuisine, which means you'll find more slow simmered sauces, resulting in more unique mole, salsas and more. We popped in to try Enchiladas Guadalajara. I've never seen my wife, who is crucial on East Coast Mexican Cuisine (Being from the West Coast) be so satisfied. The Enchiladas are packed with potatoes and cheese, but also simmered in a rich, delicious sauce that is beyond your typical red or green sauce. In addition, the al pastor tacos were fantastic as well. Couple the great food with great service, this is must visit.

Horrible atmosphere and food - they sat us down and we waited around 10 min until our server offer us any drinks - inside the restaurant was super cold - I order only TWO quesabirrias since on the menu it says the sell them per taco at $3.50 each. When my plate came out they gave me FOUR!! and they were super greasyy. Also they put lettuce on top of it instead of cilantro. The worst quesabirrias I have ever tried - Once we received the check they charge us $16 for the quesabirria and that was not on the menu Really disappointed.

The thing about this place is, it's ok. The food is clearly handmade and prepared thoughtfully. HOWEVER, it is very average. The potato and cheese flautas seem to be designed to not offend. They were neither tasty nor unappealing, and very bland; I finished them because I was paying for them. The reason to get mexican food is to have the pops of fresh herbs, charred meats and spice. This place has this, but sparingly at best.
