McDonald's — Restaurant in Hampton Township

Feeling compelled to write this review about this mcdonalds after a number of recent positive experiences here. I actually grew up about 7 minutes from this mcdonalds, and loved mcdonalds would always want to drive the extra distance to the Byram mcdonalds because the food there always used to be better like across the board. When my husband moved up here with me, he also agreed so we’d always go to “the far mcdonalds” when we wanted some good mcds. We moved away for 4 years, and back here this past summer. One late night, out of convenience, we stopped at this (Newton) Mcdonalds, thinking it would probably be sub-par food like always. All we wanted was a quick bite, so we just got double cheeseburgers. WOW, we were blown away by these burgers. We ate them in the parking lot so quickly and both were raving about how these might have been the best cheeseburgers we’ve ever had. We thought it was a fluke. But thought about these burgers for the next couple weeks, occasionally saying “i want another one of those burgers”. Finally, we stopped here again, just to see if by some awesome chance, the burgers would be fire again - to our delight, they were! Twice in a row, weeks apart, at different times of the day. To be more descriitive, what made these burgers so great was mainly the tenderness and greasyness - so if you dont like i greasy burger, it might not be for you. But i don’t know what they do to them or how they prepare them now, but whatever they do, they need to keep doing it. We’ve gotten burgers from there several times now since then and we’re always happy with them. They are like melt in your mouth heavenly burgers. We get extra cheese and ketchup and no other toppings on them, if that matters. So simple, but always delicious and hits the spot. The McDonald's on Rt 31 in Washington, NJ during the week is often quite good. Fast service, correct order, courteous associates & helpful.

On weekends it's an entirely different experience. They probably test out new employees on weekends. The coffee orders have been wrong, unmarked between regular & decaf. Have sugar when I always ask for no sugar. Taking a long time to deliver to a waiting car waiting out in the parking lot.

Associates who don't know how to scan the mobile discount apps. The app itself can be challenging. Sometimes it doesn't work whatsoever. Their WiFi doesn't kick in fast enough or the mobile coupon doesn't scan. It's not always -- but enough times to be annoying.

Overall, this McDonald's is excellent -- Mon-Fri for me. Weekends are a toss of the dice.

The young people are not familiar with procedures, not accustom to even making a fresh pot of coffee or having a backup pot. If stumped, they don't seem to know how to seek for assistance.

My beef? You'd think management would train these employees on behind the scenes responsibilities before putting them on the drive-thru window or registers.

The associates should know where everything is & how to replenish it quickly once they start handling money & app coupons. Just a suggestion.

This McDonald's is also clean inside.

The corporation needs app writers who can write more clearly about what you're getting. I had a dollar coffee coupon & they scanned it & said I didn't qualify. Why? Never explained.

Some coupons are for iced & not hot coffee. It's printed so small you sometimes don't see it quickly when...

Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our family during our visit. You and your staff were so very accommodating and informed about our special needs. The food was always delicious! My client (a home seller/buyer) had a wonderful time and liked that he could order special food and the chef would make it so he could eat it. If you wouldn’t mind telling me how you prepared the french fry's, I would like to try making some for him at home, since he enjoyed it so much. He even asked if we could stay until his birthday in July. He said that he wanted to have his birthday at Mcdonalds too! What a thoughtful gesture to have the milkshake for my mother on her birthday! It was delicious, and my client (a home seller/buyer) and my mom enjoyed their desserts as well. I know my mother will remember her birthday for years to come! Thank you also for having the special items for my mother. I tried the milkshake and it was delicious! It was so nice to know we didn’t have to worry as much about our food while in our neighborhood, and that we were able to order it and not have to bring a lot of food with us. We will be back next week and every time I am helping someone sell or buy a home or rent a home in Newton!
