Sweet pit bbq — Restaurant in Hampton

I ordered online pickup through seamless (prepaid). It said it would be ready between 8:10-8:20. I show up at 8:20 and I noticed that the closed sign is turned around, the open sign is off, and the lights are off except the kitchen lights. Then I see a boy on a skateboard (wearing a sweet pit bbq shirt) notice my car, ride over, and walk inside. So I followed him inside. Then he and the owner proceed to cook something in the back. I sit and wait for 20 minutes (assuming they are cooking my food). Then they walk out of the kitchen and say “we’re closed.” The younger boy proceeds to take the order they just made a couple doors down. So they clearly just made an order for someone. That man even came back a few minutes later and offered him 5 dollars as a tip. I told him I ordered online and already paid. The owner said that’s not my fault, we’re closed. He asked what I ordered and then they both started swearing and walking back to the kitchen. Then he walked back out 5 or so minutes later to inform me they didn’t have half the things we ordered prepped. I asked if he could do a refund and he said no that I have to call seamless and that It’s not his fault because they’re “closed.” I asked “you aren’t open on Friday nights?” He said no. Online it says they are open 7 days a week. It also seems really odd to me that they’re closed yet they delivered an order and were both wearing sweet pit bbq shirts.

He’s clearly going to get his money from seamless… if I was the owner of a business I would’ve just pulled 28 dollars out of the register and handed it to me. I paid almost thirty dollars and sat and waited...

I've been going here since they opened. I was determined to hang with them until they worked out the kinks. Why, because the food is delicious! Last night at 830pm, I ran in and asked what's left I'm serving? The cashier said everything, I ordered crablegs left and returned 15 min later. The cashier ran to my truck... TEA WE OUT OF CRABLEGS...WE COULDN'T DO U LIKE THAT! Y'ALL, THIS MAN (OWNER) WENT TO WALMART GOT MY CRABLEGS AND GRILLED THEM TO PERFECTION AT 9 pm!!!! I have been to this restaurant twice and had nothing but great food. I’ve tried the loaded fries amazing and also you can choose between three different meats to have on it, the brisket sandwich was amazing with any type of sauce to put on top and the chicken and sausage plate that’s amazing and choose two sides with a roll as well. Please if you are reading this you need to check this place out because this is an awesome restaurant, great food, great customer service and the food is made with love and the only place that serves seafood and bbq. And the macaroni cheese is to die for as well. And the cupcakes and cinnamon rolls amazing taste to die for as well. Please come to Sweet Pit...
