Wing Ranch-Hampton — Restaurant in Hampton

I was not going to review this location. My father and mother frequents them. We come on occasion to eat with them. This day my sister was leaving town. So My finance and I came by. We sat with our family and friends.

When we sat the young lady waitressing approached us. I told her we may be a minute as we were engaged in a passionate discussion. 2 more times she interrupted to obtain our order. As I understand the importance of urgency, the establishment is small enough so that even the kitchen could hear our conversation. That seemed to upset the waitress as she wanted to get on with the process and I wanted to speak.

On the third time I ordered quickly and went back to conversing. My fiancé started ordering. Being a server for IHOP, in Fisherman’s Warf SF, and also for Bridgetender, Tahoe City Ca, she has compassion for waitress. She is very accustom to high energy fast pasted restaurants. She also understands human nature. Every server we have ever had to not write down our order has failed.

So when this young lady did not, my fiancé questioned her about the order. She stumbled with in my perspective means she may get it wrong. The young lady mis spoke about what type of cheese. She was corrected once she asked the owner.

When the food came out, I knew we had problems. The underneath of my strips were littered with grill grit and were very hard.

My fiancé’s meal came out 5 minutes after looking pitiful. Her strips had more grill gunk and the lettuce looked bad.

Yes when a person is hungry and then gets something inedible, they will be hangry afterwards.

I had high hopes based off the reviews but I don’t know if I’ll be able to come back here. It’s been so hard to find a good, decent priced food spot. I was craving some buffalo tenders and this place was the closest place to home so I tried it out for the first time.

First, this is NOT a wing place for the culture. The food lacks soul and love. I will give them the benefit of the doubt because it does say that they’re hiring for cooks on the window. So it’s possible that the young lady just doesn’t know what she’s doing. The breading on my chicken tenders fell right off and some spots didn’t even look like it had breading. They also were small and burnt in some spots. Which is weird excuse they also weren’t crispy at all. They were very soggy. A few of the fries were over cooked but they were mostly good.

The cook didn’t have on a hair net and I realized at the last minute that she didn’t have on gloves either, and she scratched her head while cooking. Sigh.

As you can see in the picture, the meal was not worth $13. Maybe they should YouTube how to make crispy tenders so that way the sauce doesn’t make them soggy and the breading stays on the tenders. I would take soggy tenders and bad presentation over people scratching their head while cooking and not wearing hair nets. I am getting my restaurant consulting business going asap! I may try again but I don’t know.

I was very disappointed I ordered 100 wings for my daughter birthday. We pick up wings took wings home we were very disappointed, Wings were old!!! The meat was dried out, wings had already been previously cooked, I spoke with the owner she automatically went into defense like she already knew the wings wasn’t good. She hung up in my face I only wanted to exchange the wings for fresher wing’s. The next day I drove to wing ranch and she was very nasty the owner I live in this community and I support small business. Do Not Go There!!! Save your money!!! They couldn’t handle a big order they took my money!!!! The owner she acted like we done something wrong to her she cut me out while I was talking hung up in my face. Myself and my kids we use to go to place on weekends buy wings I can NO longer spend money with this establishment, The wings were dried out , cooked to the bone NO meat and the flavors was dried out on the wings. The owner has no respect for the community in Hampton the way she’s treating the residents in Hampton. The wing’s are not fresh chicken that can possibly make someone sick!
