Famulari's Pizzeria: Hanahan — Restaurant in Hanahan

The food was decent but the customer service was very lacking today. I arrived ahead of another customer, both of us having ordered ahead for pickup. I signed for my pizza while the host was trying to locate the order for the guest behind me. She couldn't find his order in the system so he called his wife to find out if she ordered online or if she called in the order. While he's on the phone I asked if my order was ready or if it was still cooking. The host said she would have to check on it, but just stood there while the guest behind me called his wife about their order. I asked the host how long it might be. She replied not long, she would just have to check on it. She then continues with the guest behind me telling him to have his wife send a screenshot of their order confirmation because she can't find their order in the system. So I've already paid for my order and just need her to get it from the kitchen but she apparently thinks it's ok for me to wait while the guest BEHIND me makes phone calls and receives screenshots of their order confirmation when their order isn't even showing up in the system. So I asked another young lady if she could check on my order. The first young lady hears me and says she'll do it and storms off to the kitchen in a huff. Sure enough, my order was ready and just sitting there and she brought it out to me. TERRIBLE!!! If I could give no stars I would to this establishment!!

We came to Charleston to celebrate our anniversary and we brought our one year old with us. We always have pizza as our tradition for our anniversary dinner at a different pizza place each year!

We arrived and waited for 5-10min for a table, multiple staff saw us and said they'd be with us shortly as no one was at the hostess stand. We were finally seated and sat for 20+ min and not a single server came to our table to check on us.

We saw several staff go to other tables but never approached us to order; not even get drinks. We saw another table being seated behind us and they were there only a few minutes and were already being waited on.

RIDICULOUS!!!

My husband and I left with our child because obviously they didn't care to wait on us. Typically I would of said something to someone there but I was not going to make a scene and most importantly I wanted to get my child fed first. Luckily she had snacks we brought her but she was ready for pizza just like we were. We ended up just going to McDonald's because of it.

My wife and I have been here 7 times since they opened. The food has been spot on and delicious each of those times. At first, the issues stemmed from their kitchen and it’s ability to time the completion of different dishes.

On one occasion, my wife ordered a calzone and I ordered a patty melt. My food arrived after 15 minutes, the calzone came 25 minutes later. Today was the game changer.

My wife and I came in today, 6/11/22 and ordered a large pizza and 2 sodas. We ate leisurely and did our grocery shopping list. Towards the end of the meal, I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. A live and healthy 1/2” long roach made its way onto the table.

It came from under the napkin dispenser and stared me down. I let the server know and she should moly replied that she hated roaches as well and walked away. No apology, no asking if we wanted to move tables. We took the check and went up front and paid.
