LG's By The Creek — Restaurant in Hanahan

I would liked to preface this with the note I have worked in food and Bev for several years and am usually always sympathetic and understanding to needs of staff. However, I am not sure how this restaurant has 4.4 stars because the food and service we recieved was truly some of the worst I have ever experienced. It truly takes alot for me to say that and I do not say it lightly. We had come in last night as a party of 6 for a 21st birthday. We called ahead and were told to seat ourselves. After we were sat it took our waiter 30 minutes to come back to our table just to take our drink orders. When she came back with our drinks that was the last we had of getting drinks that night, 2 of us were never brought water. Not once did she come back to refill water, ask if we wanted more beer or mixed drinks and we were there in a little over 2 hours. The tables next to us were completely empty; 6 empty tables. While waiting we made eye contact with her and the other servers who passed us by and tried to ignore us when we attempted to get their attention to serve us. Not ONCE was there any communication or apologies about the delays so there could be a mutual understanding between us about why the service was so poor. If there had been communication, even just a little, it would have greatly improved our mood and understanding. During this time we also saw a different waitress take a tray from one of the tables to the back of house and take the remaining shot of liquor that was on that tray right in the door way where everyone could see. When she took our drink orders our food was placed which came out after another long waiting period. Our dinner came out before our appetizers. My husband and I ordered the Fat boy pizza which was edible but was not tasty at all. The chicken was very tough and chewy like it had been cooked straight from the freezer. The birthday girls food was extremely burnt and charred in some part of her Philly cheese steak and she's from PA so she knows a good cheesesteak. Her husband got a pulled pork burger and we both ordered loaded tater tots however theirs also had the pulled pork on them. When we tried the pulled pork every last one of us spat it out saying it tasted chemical and not even like meat. All of us tried it and had the same reaction. Not ONCE in my life have I even been so appalled by a taste at a restaurant where I spat it out before chewing. The pulled pork was completely inedible. She thankfully did not charge them for the burger or tots due to the taste. Another ball that was dropped was how long it took to bring out my husband's and mines loaded tots, after we had been brought our pizza and our friends recieved their entrees and were served their tots, as well as the fact our Buffalo shrimp never came out but they still tried to add the charge to the bill at the end. I hate to be so negative but the service and food was pretty terrible and I do not say that lightly. For a 21st birthday celebration there was no enthusiam from the staff, not even happy birthday, and it was very disappointing. However there were some good things. The long Island tasted very good and was well made, as well as some buttery nipple shots we got. Very tasty. The loaded tater tots WITHOUT THE PORK were the only item of food that was absolutely delicious and the ranch was very good. While they didn't have space for our cake in the fridge they did accommodate us by bringing out plates to serve it as well as a knife to cut it and napkins. This was an extremely disappointing experience and I hate to leave a bad review but do not waste your time here for dinner, drinks maybe because those were good, but for dinner you'd have better luck elsewhere. I hope that management will see this and find a way to make the necessary corrections to her team so they can provide a delicious and successful service. Until then, we will not return...

Rockin sports bar in the wilds of Hanahan SC. Lots of outside seating and plenty of inside booths and tall table seats inside. All weather seating. Would be a great place for slow day table magic 😁. Wings and pizza possible after 10pm. Only dark beer is Guinness 😢. So reverted to my old standby yuenling with a shot of Kailua in a chilled glass. Decided on the hotest Wings they offered with a side of hot sauce. Enough room outside to have a corn hole set up. Saturday night live band "Groove Kitty"; don't know why they pay a live band and then not allow people outside to here them, instead they play the radio outside. The indoor barista Christy had her hands full with obviously pregnant Casey doing her best to help. Ordered Wings and the girl "with" asked if I wanted them to go. I replied "what you want me to leave 😁. Wanted wings with a side of hot sauce and got decently hot wings with a side of vinegar based hot sauce. 🤯. Those commercials outside are offset by the live band when ever the door is open.. The wings come with celery and carrots and 10 wings, I would personally rather have 5 wings and half a basket of veggies. Wings , two dark beers and a red Bud $40 + 10. Not a...

Came in to watch the Dolphins Game on 11/6/2022 and asked if I could get the game on one of the many tvs and waited for 15min just to be told “I can’t”. I thought as a local bar with multiple tvs I would get an opportunity to watch my home team in such a home grown and supported community such as Hanahan (current resident) but this was not what I felt instead I felt ignored and slightly insulted because many different games were on the tvs but not ours (dolphins). Very disappointed and now I have to drive elsewhere (outside of my own neighborhood 🤦🏾‍♂️) just to enjoy the game, a few 🍺 and some food. Did not feel included by no means instead I felt outcasted! Nonetheless I will happily go to another. Do not stop in without first confirmation g if they will play your game to avoid waisting your time. As it relates to food, I did eat here with my wife once and did not it was decent bar food if my memory holds (if your looking for food check other reviews as I did not focus much energy here), but if you are going for the game and an inclusive environment I’d make sure they will allow you to watch you game prior to making the trip..( they probably won’t if it’s not...
