Hanford Portuguese Bakery — Restaurant in Hanford

Came here on a Saturday morning. It wasn't busy and parking was easy to find.

This was my first experience at a Portuguese bakery/market, so I wasn't too sure what to get. The lady at the counter (the owner) was very nice and guided me through some of the items. I ended up getting filhozes, folhado de queijos, strawberry torte and some spice sardines. Everything pastry I had was delish. They also have a great selection of Portuguese items to purchase.

Great selection, delicious bread, and a great owner. I am not Portuguese, but my husband is. So naturally, he shares the culture with me. I feel very comfortable going picking out some goodies when I'm in the area. I always know I'm going to have the freshest bread and have great conversation with the owner. Great store! Owner is friendly and helpful. Great selection of portugese goods including but not limited to meat, sodas, teas, canned fish, candy, sauces, local dried Fava beans, and fresh taro.
