I’ve seen this place so many times when I’m in Hanford and yesterday my best friend took me there.
You walk in and are immediately greeted. Place is small but roomy. Reminds me of my dads restaurant with the similar atmosphere and quality of food. My dad makes great burgers, but this place really nails it as well.
My buddy had a Hanford which is there version of Carl’s Jr. Western Bacon and I had a OMB which is a bacon burger with grilled onions and mushrooms.
Ingredients are fresh and the buns they use have a very unique flavor and freshness. I believe they come from Max’s Bakery in Fresno (awesome quality).
The people are friendly and it’s run by the husband and wife and one other person that I saw working there. Very hospitable and welcoming. All in all it was one of the best first impressions I’ve ever received.
I even noticed that the wife had made a mistake on a previous customers order and they were very apologetic and the customer was a regular and was willing to try the item he hadn’t ordered and enjoyed it...
Read moreOf the many fast-food establishments in Hanford, we wanted a new place for a "good" burger, and my wife recalled someone had mentioned Mike's Grill. We drove over and went inside, and were pleasantly greeted by the owner. She proceeded to ask us if we had any questions about anything on menu, and we took a few minutes to decide. My wife had the chicken breast sandwich, and I had the bacon burger on sourdough, and we had an order of curly fries. Our order was served and we enjoyed them. As I was eating my meal, I noticed that my burger was missing the bacon, and the owner was very pleased to get me the missing ingredient. She apologized for the new cook, but we were very understanding. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and both of us said we would be coming back again. Great food, service, and they serve Angus meat....
Read moreThis place is the epitome of a mom and pop burger shop. Presumably it is owned by a man named Mike, and Mike has a lot of opinions (and it appears he and I agree on most things) and Mike loves putting up signs around the restaurant telling you what he thinks. The signs are quite blunt but often very humorous. My dad is named Mike (and I am too), and I know if Dad owned a burger shop he would have a lot of the same signs up around his business too. It really gives the place a no nonsense, down home type feel. The ladies behind the counter are very nice to deal with, and the woman who takes my order always has a big smile on her face and a warm, welcoming personality. I haven't met Mike yet, but I'm sure he's a hoot. And of course, the food is great and the prices very fair. If you haven't been, come check out...
