Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Hannibal

Update: I went back a couple weeks later and they redeemed themselves. Sandwich making varies by the person, so it may have been the girl making it this time, but she did fantastically. Hopefully this keeps up!

I love Jimmy John’s, but this location wasn’t quite up to par. It was clean and the staff was friendly enough, but they didn’t do a very good job on my sandwich. Being a vegetarian, there’s not a lot of options so I always get the same thing. Not a big deal because I really like the sandwich. It comes with avocado on it and I always get extra avocado which is almost a dollar extra, but it’s worth it. At this location, however, the amount they put on my sandwich wasn’t even quite the normal amount let alone the extra that I paid for. Of course I was already on the road when I discovered this. Super disappointing. They also took a little while to make my sandwich, I think they had a pick up order that was ahead of mine that was probably pretty big, so not a big deal there either. I just wish that I would’ve gotten the avocado...

We stop in Hannibal on our way to and from Kansas City to visit family. Both times this trip was a disaster. 1st stop they were incredibly slow. Little Caesar’s next door made a large pizza fresh faster than our sandwiches were made. On top of that, the sandwiches were not correctly made.

2nd stop, I order an hour in advance for pick up to ensure it’s ready. I figured if I ordered online for pick up there wouldn’t be ANY confusion on customizations. After being in the car for 3.5 with 5 hungry kids we show up. The order is just sitting there, not in a bag and no one says anything, finally after a few minutes of standing there they finally ask if we are here to pick up. Upon starting out on the final part of our drive we realize that not 1 sandwich in the bag is even remotely close to what we ordered. Not even remotely close.

Had to turn around and go back, for the staff to just stand there looking even more confused than we left them.

I always have a good experience at our local Jimmy John’s, but tonight I went thru the drive thru and ordered an Italian Nightclub. When I got to the window, they were very efficient but the most wholesome part of my experience was hearing someone in the kitchen complimenting the young gentleman on his wrap! It was perfect, the sandwich, napkins and receipt were all rolled up nicely together making for an efficient hand off.
