They had a dinner rush Saturday, July 17th. The outside was filled with people, but the inside, where we were seated, did not have many people. It seems we had a new waiter. Although he was polite, he had a hard time. We didn't get our appetizer until they served our food. What's the point of the appetizer? Lol. I asked about it, and he told me they were busy, but he would check on it. Then they brought my fajita dinner, and he mentioned getting tortillas. They didn't ask what kind of tortilla, so eventually, he brought me corn tortillas. At that time, halfway into my fajitas, I said I was supposed to get rice and beans. He told me that rice and beans only came with the tacos. I was paying $25 for my plate. I asked to see the menu, and he said ok. He grabbed the menu, looked at it, and said he was sorry, and he would go get my rice and beans. He was great about refilling our drinks. The combination fajitas were delicious. I think it was better quality meats and peppers/onion, so smaller portion than what I've seen at other restaurants, especially compared to the price. My husband had taco dinner that he enjoyed. This was our second time eating here. The first time we both had tacos, and during lunch, it was much better service. However, during lunch, they were not busy. We decided to give this place a try because our favorite quick Mexican spot (Emily's) is no longer in Bartlett, and La Hacienda De Roselle, isn't too far, but it's nice to stay closer to home. I think next time, we will drive the 10 additional minutes to our favorite spot. Overall, not worth the...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place, but our table of four waited 20 minutes to receive our drink order, then another half hour for the server to come back to take our order. After ordering, we waited more than an hour, watching food being delivered to tables who were seated after us, only for the server to come back and confirm our orders. I expected some mix up in the kitchen so our food would be right out. Wrong. We waited another 30 minutes for our food to arrive, so our order was clearly not put in. Then, when we were just about done eating, the server brings over two squeeze bottles of sauces, a red and a green, as if we were just starting to eat our meal. We were there almost three hours in total.
So the service was poor but the food was hit and miss; the pollo ranchero and cochinita pibil were superb, but the chimichanga was not good, topped with two slices of halfway melted cheese. After we finished eating we sat there waiting for the server to stop by but he just stood there talking to another server, walked past but never glanced at our table. After a while I was able to catch his attention to wave him over, he was like "yes?", uh, can we get the check please?
Sorry to say but we won't ever dine in again, might order take out though, the chicken and cochinita were ...
Read more2nd time, I tried this place. 1st time was when they opened.
Thought I would try again and give them a 2nd shot. I was in the mood for a burrito, and since they were down the street from where I was at I thought, "Why not? Let's try again. ".. welp what a waste of money & my time.
I bought two burritos, one for me & my daughter. I got rice & beans on the side. I asked for avocado in the burrito. It was also a steak burrito. Got home and went to eat. Barely any steak in there, let alone anything else. And no avocado. It was basically just a shell. Instead of a round burrito, it was basically flat. Which means barely anything in there. The red sauce was barely spicy (I used 4) the burrito barely had any flavor. Same for the rice & beans. Very bland. And barely any rice or beans.
I was still hungry after eating that. Usually, after a REAL burrito, I can't even breathe because I'm so full.
I paid $35.00 for two meals (if u could call it that). It's not worth it. You won't see me going there again. I hate to trash a business, but I want to get what I paid for. I work hard for my money, too. So should you if you want my business.
If you want a real burrito and are hungry, I'd try somewhere else.
I believe in helping businesses, but again, no...
