I went there with my sister and mother as a birthday dinner for my mother. We didn't want to go full blown family, but wanted a decent sit down Italian restaurant. So we gave it a shot.
We really enjoyed it. When I first walked in, I admittedly was a little concerned that it may have been much more casual than I had intended in a restaurant choice, but I quickly started to realize that it was less that it was casual and more that it was comfortable.
The atmosphere quickly gives way to feeling like you've been invited into an Italian family's home and offered their cooking. Our waiter, Joey, was great. Very kind, exactly as attentive as he needed to be, never going into that overwhelming wait staff mode. He never had us waiting for anything, and he never interrupted to ask the pestering waiter/waitress questions. He nailed it.
I ordered chicken parmigiana. It was wonderful. Simple and wonderful. You go to some Italian restaurants and they try to make this dish more than it is, giving you a thick piece of chicken with soggy breading. Not here. Pasta Mia serves a wonderfully crispy chicken cutlet that was very tender. The sauce was veeeeeery good. I can't even put my finger on why, but it definitely tastes like they care about how it tastes. All of this covered with very good mozzarella.
I was very impressed. We will definitely be back, if not for the chicken parm definitely for the pizza that I saw at other tables. It looked REALLY good. And definitely to try the outdoor seating, which is not easy to come by in this day and age.
If you want to waste your money on "ambience" and BS at other places, go ahead. But this is truly a little gem tucked away...
Read moreDecided to go out to dinner 1st time since Covid with our friends. This was 2 couples. Maybe 20 max in the outdoor patio. Ordered dinner and waited 1 hour for our food. Twice we asked the waitress and she said we were there 3rd order in line for the chef to cook. Asked again in 15 minutes and I responded maybe you could give us a drink on the house while we are waiting. Waitress comes back in 10 minutes with our food and said the manager said we could not have a free but a free dessert. I replied, I do not need the drink may I please speak to the manager. Pete C. came out and proceeded to say his chef were very busy with pick up and delivery order. I said I understand but we are here in your Restaurant waiting on our food and no one has acknowledged the wait time for the food. He said do you know about Covid. We are very busy. I said yes I do and I understand you are busy but what about your customers in the Restaurant. He went off on me and told us to leave his Restaurant after we pay our check. Then said no don't pay your check just get the hell out of my Restaurant in front of the other customers and walked away. He said if we were looking for a free drink, it was not going to happen. The waitress was very upset and apologized for his reaction. We paid our check and left. My husband has Neuropathy and has a hard time walking so we could not just get up and leave as he yelled at us to do. I have never asked for a manager in a Restaurant before. He was so rude and not all apologetic. I don't think anyone deserves to be treated like this. Never again Pasta...
Read moreI used to Love this place. However Im beyond disapointed how the owner's son handled my complaint today. I ordered food and was told it would be there within the hour. After longer than an hour I called to check. He confirmed it'll be there 'any minute'. After another 20 minutes I called again. To which he told me 'As a business owner I order food and theres plenty of times it doesnt come within the timeframe Im told'. That response was dissapointing. I explained that I eat there frequently and bring people there often as well and as a customer that is a dissapointing response to receive. He replied by telling me 'Well we're busy and have a lot of takeout and catering orders'. I explained that that is fine but the communication was not there to begin with and the customer service was not there either since it was an hour and a half and my food was still not delivered. He delivered the same response that they were busy and it happens. I asked if he would make a credit to my acct. He said 'Im not going to credit your whole meal' and I let him know I was not asking for a full credit. And he snarkily replied "what do you want a $2 credit'.
Having a busy business is great. Having good food is great. But having a business that is insulting and snarky and exhibits arrogance and lack of customer service is terrible.
The biggest problem here was not the late delivery. It was the way I felt interacted with as a customer. Super...
