Pupusas City Restaurant — Restaurant in Hanover Township

Important info: This place is new! They don't have card readers set up yet so bring cash. They still haven't fully staffed so there may be a bit of a wait but the staff is super friendly and apologetic. The food is worth it and I suspect both of these issues are temporary. No alcohol sales but they have a "bring your own bottle" policy.

Actual review: I'm from the west. In my hometown, amazing tacos are as common as pizza is here. This place almost made me cry it tasted so much like home. The green enchilada sauce was perfectly tangy. I could have eaten it like salsa. I can't remember the last time I saw my chef husband grin like he did after his first bite of beef tongue taco. The menu is huge so there is something for everyone. The staff, again, was extremely friendly. I'm glad this place is close enough to walk to because I intend to try everything and the portions are huge. I will say, complementary chips and salsa would be nice and much more what I'd expect especially with a bit of wait on the food time. I also really wished they had some pick 2 or pick 3 combo platter options so I could have, say, a taco, an enchilada, and a tostada. That, again, is something I expect because if where I'm from and for someone like me who wants to try the whole menu, it always makes me happy to see. I was also a little bummed to not see chili rellenos on the menu but there is so many other things to try it's not really that much of an issue and it's honestly possible I missed them because there was so many things I wanted. 🥰I went to dine in for the first time and I was kinda nervous about it because the restaurant didn’t have so many people dining in but me and my family took the chance and I’m so pleased with this restaurant the food was amazingly delicious so clean and the quality is amazing!!☺️ We are so satisfied from everything we experienced.
