Editing my review in response the owners counter argument:

  1. ADA service dog laws override American health department laws
  2. service dog handlers are are allowed to let people pet their service dogs, it is up to handler discretion. Just because most handlers do not want people petting without permission, does not mean some won't allow it with permission. Nowhere does ADA state people are never allowed to pet on- duty service dogs
  3. the dog was in no way disrupting customers, employees or anyone else
  4. the dog was not getting into food/drink etc
  5. Zuki is not an emotional support dog, and is in fact a psychiatric service dog
  6. his handler/owner is not obligated to leave because of her service dog
  7. the only information she is required to share is that he is a service dog and only 1 task he perfirms, which she did provide 3. As someone with the same medical condition, it is hard to put into words and talk strait while in a medical episode. She did offer to call ME, Zuki's trainer, to explain, yet the owner refused to have her call. This afternoon, this establishment broke the law regarding Service Dogs. I am a service dog trainer and my client, was denied access with her with a VERY WELL TRAINED service dog in training. They were told he is not a true service dog because he is "in training". 1) Pennsylvania law explicitly states that service dogs in training have THE SAME rights as fully trained service dogs. 2) Zuki is at a point in his training that in a few months, he will most likely bee considered a fully trained service dog. He and my client/friend have had HOURS upon HOURS of task and public access training. The confrontation sent my client into a medical episode, to which the employee claimed Zuki was not a service dog because he was not actively tasking during her medical episode. He was, in fact tasking, preforming a "blocking" task to create space. Just because the dog is not moving, does not mean he is not working. The employee then continued to escalate, saying my client was yelling and being inappropriate because she raised her voice to be heard over the noise. I suggest whoever owns the place research ada and educate your employees on ADA service dog laws. This is unacceptable behavior from employees...

This is the best brewery experience in Hanover. The staff is awesome, the beer is good, and the atmosphere is uniquely classy and cozy. It is obvious that the owners take a lot of pride in their creation and try to make the entire experience enjoyable. The reason we keep coming back is because of the lime flavored hard seltzer, but also the atmosphere. The hard seltzer isn't as good as Liquid Hero's hard seltzer, and they only have 1 base flavor, but Fat Bat is much closer to home. I don't drink much beer anymore but enjoy the brewery experience, and also sampling some new brews, so Fat Bat works well for me. They have a new Drafty Downpours light lager that is amazing and hope that it becomes a regular. I'm hoping that they come out with different seltzers, or even an unflavored one where the customer can choose a flavor to be added, such as tossing in some pineapple and jalapeno or an orange slice, or those syrups. For those that like to try different things, Fat Bat does some creative mixers that are seltzer based or coffee stout based. They don't have food but that is OK by me, they do get awesome food trucks on occasion. They do some fun events like live music, flight night, book club, theme days, special occasion drink mixers, etc. which is awesome. They also don't allow people under 21 at the bar side, but they have an area for all ages, which is nice. The building is an old horseshoer or farrier shop (I forget what they called horse repair shops back in the day), and the original brick interior still has writings on the wall...

Fat Bat is one of the best brewery experiences I have ever been to. They have a great selection of beers that is always being rotated. They are always offering new creative selections with artwork on the walls to match. The service is great, the ability to get crowlers to go is always a treat, and I love their collaborations with local businesses. Would give it 7.5 out of 5 if I could. I’m heading up there this Sunday for a suit fitting event that I’ve been looking forward to for months! Keep up the good work and...

Very friendly staff, great beer selection! If you're not really keen on beer, they also have tasty seltzers, and for those with a sweet tooth: beer floats. Food trucks visit here pretty often with delicious food items, and while I have not gotten to make my way out for any events, Fat Bat always seems to have live music or other events to contribute to your visit. Plus, the name is catchy and the bat kind of looks like my dog, so bonus points ;)
