MONEY GRAB ‼️ (I wrote a book) - High prices and will use every opportunity to get more money out of you with upcharges. For example, you only get a small HALF of an egg in your ramen and even though I said no corn, no seaweed, or fish - and even with saving them all of those ingredients they still won’t substitute HALF OF AN EGG. Clearly they don’t care about their customers and just want to pick your pockets. I won’t be getting swindled anymore. Plus they charge you $4 for soda with NO REFILLS. It’s disappointing how little you guys actually care about your customers. Hangout Ramen has better broth and appreciates their customers instead of trying to take advantage of them.
RESPONSE TO OWNER’S REPLY:
You say that you value every customer? WRONG. When I called you guys yesterday and said that I had been a loyal customer your response was “it doesn’t matter how much you come here” so don’t hop on here and act like you care about my experience now.
As for the substitution - you say seaweed, corn, and fish don’t equal the price of half of an egg and I have time to debate you today. At walmart, a dozen large eggs costs $3.50, now divide that by 12, and again by half since you guys are cheap and only serve half an egg. That makes each half an egg cost 14 cents. Repeat, 14 cents. Not to mention, that’s walmart’s prices when your restaurant gets them EVEN cheaper through wholesale.
You’re telling me SEAWEED, FISH, and CORN all three together cost less than 14 cents?
Take your lies elsewhere and don’t hop on here being a saint when you only cared after I stood up for myself and posted a review since you guys couldn’t care less when I called.
Also, you said you bump the price of everything on DoorDash up by $1? When DoorDash does nothing for your business but bring you guys more orders, you wanna put the fees that YOU guys are supposed to be paying on to us? I pay DoorDash fees everytime I order - but you guys wanna charge me more to cover YOUR FEES?
Not to mention, for doordash orders when a substitution can’t be done - you’re supposed to reach out to the customer and see what they want instead. I didn’t even get that from you guys. So go ahead and charge your $1.50 for half of an egg that costs you less than 14 cents. Try appreciating your customers and make rules that are meant to be fair - not to take advantage of them.
You also didn’t respond to my comment about your $4 sodas with no refills. Anything?
See what I mean? They DO NOT CARE about anything but your bill.
Yikes! 😬 Goodluck to your business if this is how you treat your customers and then come on here to lie and cover up instead of trying to make things right.

Read moreHidden treasure in Harahan! Ok, tbh, the first time I went with friends months and months ago and I wasn't exactly impressed with the food, so I didn't write a review. Apparently, New Owners took over since then, and it really reflects in the food quality and offerings. The place looks brand new. It's really lovely. Even the bathrooms are classy. Lol. The waitstaff are friendly and attentive, and the decor is upbeat.
But, I'm all about the food! I tried to get pictures of all our food, but my family was too excited to come here again, so they dove in. I took a picture of my "spicy cold noodles". First time eating cold noodles, so I wanted a little of everything with it. I couldn't tell you what all the little fermented goodies were around the edge of the plate, but they were all tasty. The management was very accommodating and for the quality and quantity of food, the prices are more than reasonable. They were happy to make some substitutions for my picky eaters, and the upcharge for extras was totally reasonable and imho en par or less than other restaurants we've been to.
My baby loves her bao and Thai tea, and another can't get enough of that chasu ramen. Some of the veg he can do without, but they make it how he orders it, so we're all happy. He tells me the fried calamari are the bomb, too. Next time, I'm going to get that rice burger. Mmmmmm. It looked so good! They used rice instead of a bun. I should've asked if it was gluten-free. I'll update next time we go....
Read moreThis was our first time here and it won't be our last! We had a party of eight with two kids for this visit, and we couldn't have gone at a better time (4:30ish) since we had the whole place to ourselves. The waiter was very attentive and took care of all of our needs, even the odd high chair placement one. Since we had a large order, I figured it would be a little while to get everyone's food out. It actually was served quicker than expected and completely accurate. This visit, I tried the black garlic ramen. What an umami experience it was! The broth was perfect, with plenty of the deep, slightly bitter garlic flavor you expect from the dish. The toppings were all quality, and I was delighted to see they actually marinate their ajitama (boiled eggs). The noodles were somewhat soft, which can mean they were a bit overdone. But it wasn't a deal breaker in the least. The portion size was perfect and I didn't leave hungry. The little ones got the hibachi meals. The shrimp were unfortunately not the best. They taste as if pepper was the only seasoning, and she didn't eat them much. They did, however, both love the veggies, fried rice, and especially the sauce. One of our party got the unagi bowl. And while I am not a fan of eel, it did look quite delicious. Another got the squid steak and it too looked so good. We are definitely planning to go back with a smaller group and sample more of what menu offers. I'm very much looking forward to trying the rice burgers as they look so...
