Las Palmas Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Hardeeville

We walked in for lunch, noonish, and the restaurant was empty, not a good sign but we decided to stay. We were given menus, with no prices. Hmmm.. It seemed like our server was new and was being trained by maybe an owner or manager. The training had a lot to be desired. We ordered chicken fajitas. After 30 minutes the fajitas were served with no plates, tortillas, sour cream or any other sides. We were offered rice or beans, we opted for beans and we’re given rice once we asked for plates. The best part or the meal was the salad. The server was no where to be found so we went to the bar to ask for our bill. There are now 2 other tables of customers. That was just as confusing as getting our meal straight. The bar is owned separately and you you have to pay 2 bills. Never again!! My wife and I went for dinner because it was recommended by a friend and also said under new management, probably should have stayed under the old management because once I received my food there was a toothpick inside of my burrito, I took a bite and immediately thought it was a bone of some sort I pulled it out and it was a toothpick!!! Then when I showed the waitress I immediately caught the vibe that she thought I placed the toothpick there. I hadn’t taken but a few bites of my burrito, she did apologize but when returned with the check she said they took 20% off the bill! They at first were not going to take off the burrito that I took two bites out of, one of them being a bite with a toothpick! They did after I said I’m not paying for the burrito took it off! FIRST AND LAST TIME all at once.. This place is TERRIBLE! We came in, sat down, ordered drinks, and left. Our waitress was on her phone the whole time, and the service was horrible. There were no customers inside, yet it took about 10-15 minutes to even be asked what we wanted to drink. It was hot and sticky as if they had no AC on. Tables were a sticky mess, and the waitress’s attitude was even worse. We didn't even wait for our drinks to arrive before we left.. With the number of bad reviews I am seeing, I wouldn't be surprised if they had a near future shut down. SO ODD to have such a high rating, yet SO many negative complaints.
