I love Wendy's, but this particular franchise (on Rt 278, Bluffton, SC) has horrible, horrible, horrible customer service. I waited in line 25 minutes just to order, despite there being only one couple in front of me! Unacceptable. And this was at 3pm, not in the middle of the lunch or dinner rush. There was only one lady at the register and not only was she taking orders, but going to make the food too, very slowly I might add) despite their being at least 6 other employees standing around. One of them was texting, 2 we're busy chatting with each other and the others were just standing there doing NOTHING. Then after waiting for 10 minutes, well, it's 3pm and time for shift change so four of those employees just walked out right past an ever growing line of customers. You don't do that, just because it's quitting time. Especially when your replacement hasn't arrived yet. Four workers left, yet no new employees had come in yet for the next shift. Then 2 previous customers came back up to the counter because their orders were messed up - missing items, wrong items. So the lone girl up front takes another 10 minutes to straighten that out. She finally asks to take my order (mind you, not once has she apologized or said anything to me) and before I can open my mouth, she walks away to go check on the fries and disappears for several minutes! When she comes back, she starts chatting with a customer that she obviously was friends with. Unreal! I nearly walked out a few times, but I was starving and knew there was no other nearby places to get food. But i will never go to that Wendy's again. You do not treat customers like...
Read moreExperience was horrible!! Got to the drive thru window at 10:24pm and there was a car ahead of me and I heard the young lady telling the man in the car ahead that everything he tried to order they didn't have! I'm sitting in my car like huh...what in world!! So finally the guy got frustrated and pulled off! Then it was my turn to order and I told the young lady that I wanted an Apple Pecan Salad...she then told me that she needed to check to see if they have the salad because they are closing! I asked her what time do you all close and she said 11:00p. I told her that it is now 10:24p and you all aren't closed yet. That made me realize that she was telling the car ahead that they didn't have all the things he was asking for because she wanted to close!! I told her I didn't want to order again and left! It was bothering me so I called to get her name to report the incident to upper management in the morning! I noticed that she was the only female working and a guy! When I called the young lady answered the phone I asked for her name and she passed the phone to the guy without giving her name! He answered stating his name was Mike! I asked him for the name of the young lady that was on the phone and if he was the manager. He said yes he was the manager of that shift and that the young lady's name was Ariana I told him what happened and he apologized for her behavior, offered me the salad for free and said the situation will be addressed with her! Of course I refused the salad...lol...won't put no extra sauce...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible. Ordered and pulled up to the window. All I could hear was swearing and things being thrown around. Sandwich supposed to come with onions... No onions. Went back to the speaker. Asked to pull to window. The gal working took my sandwich; which I'd bitten off of once or twice because a) it's dark and I shouldn't have to check it and b) sometimes the ingredients slide around if it sloppily made (standard fast food) without gloves she went out of my view, added onions, and handed me back the same sandwich, open wrapper, with no gloves on still. When I brought this to her attention all she did was argue with me as if her pay is docked for high food costs. Some very well composed young man took her place, refunded the cost of the sandwich which I never took out of her hands, and I went home. All the while the shift leader was standing around the corner and never took charge of her team from what I could tell. If I had to hazard a guess I think she was the one slinging profanity like they should have slung onions on my sandwich to begin with.
Recap. I paid nearly $9 for a sandwich and fries (no drink). I didn't get the sandwich i ordered. I didn't realize that until I'd bitten into it. To correct the issue took an extra ten minutes, and in the end I ended up leaving without any sandwich at all. I'll be notifying the department of health and Wendy's corporate first thing in...
