I first found this business when my husband and I moved to Hamburg 2 years ago. First interaction with the owner was at The Sussex County Fair this summer (2023); she was pleasant explained her cookie countdowns that she was selling, and told us how to order them. My mother was not with us that day and went to the shop to purchase some cookies/cupcakes just to try before we ordered a whole countdown. Upon my moms arrival, she walks into the store and immediately is yelled at by the owner asking why she’s there that she needs to get out. The owner states she’s not open to the public for purchasing products and is only there for people to pick up online orders that they’ve placed. My mom left, and when she got home the website and Facebook page state NOTHING that you cannot just go to the storefront to purchase any baked goods. It also states their hours that they’re still open. Trying to give the business the benefit of the doubt, my mom ordered a Halloween countdown for my niece. She received an email that the order would be ready for pick up on October 10th. So October 10th, my mom goes to pick up the order, and no one is at the shop. She calls the phone number, and the owner tells my mom that she is JUST starting those orders and she hopes to have them completed by Thursday, but no guarantee. Why did you send an email out stating that the order could be picked up on a certain date when you haven’t even made them yet? The owner is completely disorganized, doesn’t know how to run a business, and is rude to potential customers. If you’re not interested in actually working I suggest you close your business. I DO NOT recommended purchasing anything from here. You’re better off going to a grocery store, at least they treat you with respect and...
Read moreMy daughters and their friend did the spring break baking class today. It was baking cupcakes and decorating them as well as cookies. I picked my kids up at the end of class and they showed me their decorated cupcakes and cookies. They looked very cute. They seemed to have a nice time; however, they did tell me the teacher seemed strict and even irritated at some of the kids for talking too much. They couldn’t wait to try a cupcake, so we all took a cupcake to eat. We all took one bite and could not eat them. They were dense and dry!! They were terrible! We also tried the cookies and they are not good either. After contacting the owner, Colleen, I was told they were vegan cupcakes and made with vinegar and oil!! I asked if she was a vegan bakery and she stated no they are not a vegan bakery. My only thought at this point is the cupcakes were cooked this way to cut cost, because why else make them this way? Butter and eggs are the most costly ingredients. $150 was spent for the three kids to attend the class and the cupcakes are not even edible. We have 18 cupcakes and 12 cookies heading to the garbage can. We should have been told she would be baking vegan cupcakes, because we never would have signed up. Unfortunately, we won’t be signing up for...
Read moreKEEP DRIVING! I stopped by this "bakery" to pick up just a few cupcakes. When I walked in it definitely looked like they did not excpect customers. Odd. Before I could say anything I was told "We have nothing for purchase because of the weather early this week." What? The weather? Ok.... I drove 5 minutes on to route 23 and found a LOVELY little bakery with 2 sweet girls at the counter. They were fully stocked with delicious goodies. It didn't seem the weather 4 days ago was a problem for them. This "bakery" is defintely not a store front. Keep driving right past this place about 5 minutes down the road...you'll be...
