*This review somehow after fixing a TYPO came up as new, please note that this review was based on the PREVIOUS management! ---Nice place that is now ruined. Normally go every other Thursday or Wednesday this year. Usually my wife and I or along with the rest of my small family. The serve staff is nice and attentive and the food is not bad. Prices are pretty standard. Nothing incredible but had worse. Today we ordered alot of food after parent teacher night. We noticed the salad barely had any dressing on it so we decided to just take it home and we asked for more dressing as it was dry. Well the owner sent back the poor serve staff to tell us there's a charge. I became upset as to being nickled and dimed for a dry salad. I asked to speak with the owner and she came out and said it's on the menu, sorry you feel that way but dressing costs money. Would she'd rather we send the salad back? It's either take it as is or we will charge you more for a dry salad? It made no sense. But nonetheless the owner does not realize that you know what else costs money...losing customers. The servers know our dishes by heart and very cool and nice. Sadly, we will not go somewhere where being right and petty Trumps service and Goodwill. I will never go there again. I'm sure the owner will respond with sorry you feel that way...but hey plenty of Italian places to eat to put up with obnoxious customer service. Loyalty is a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife and I were looking for a local spot to enjoy an informal dinner with some visitors from out of town, and we were recommended Pomodoro Italiano. Despite looking like a pizza parlor from the outside, we were told the food was excellent, so we were hopeful to find a new option near Crystal Springs.
The restaurant had a cozy ambiance with white tablecloths, napkins, and silverware, which made it feel more formal than a typical pizzeria. Our server was fantasticāattentive without being overbearing. She definitely added a positive touch to the experience!
Unfortunately, the meal didnāt live up to expectations. We started with mozzarella sticks and calamari as appetizers. The mozzarella sticks were bland, similar to something you might find in a frozen bag, and the calamari was overcooked to the point where it was almost unrecognizable.
Based on the appetizers, I opted for a safe choice of chicken cutlet parmesan, while my cousin chose eggplant parmesan. My wife went with the ziti, and another cousin had chicken piccata. Unfortunately, none of us were able to get past the first few bites.
I should also note that we all came to the conclusion that the sauce (a key component of each dish) had almost no taste!
I'm not sure if it was just an off night, but given the overall experience, I have doubts. We were hoping for a great meal, but unfortunately, it fell...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCustomer service is terrible here. I ordered for pick up and my order was supposed to be ready when I got there. Blonde lady in the counter is clueless about the ordering system and took a very long time helping someone on the phone. I waited for 10 min standing there and I was in a rush. I asked another person about my order and he handed it to me. I asked if everything was in the bag and he said āyesā. I went home and I realized a sandwich was missing so I headed back. I asked about it to the same lady that didnāt help me before and she pointed the missing sandwich in the counter. She was defensive and decided to verify my order by opening and touching the bread/sandwich with her dirty and filthy hands from handling money and handling the cashier. I immediately told her I didnāt want that food that she already touched with her dirty hands. This restaurant should consider hiring efficient people to serve customers and revise health and hygiene protocols when handling and...
