I happened to stop by this cafe on a whim while visiting the area and it turned out to be the best food I've eaten while in town. I actually went in to have some dessert, took a few things back to the hotel, and returned the next day because it was so good. They have a wide selection of both familiar and unique drinks, desserts, and even food. The ambiance of the cafe is so warm and inviting, the interior design so beautiful and thought out. If you like desserts that are not too sweet, LiBre is perfect. I tried their carrot cake, various different scones, their crinkle cookie, some breakfast sandwiches, some drinks, and some of their cheesecake as well as the little cakes that come in the boxes. I don't have a single complaint about any one of them. It's very obvious that there's a lot of thought gone into each dish, because the different aspects of each one of them compliment each other so well! The side salad that comes with the breakfast sandwiches is soooo good, the carrot cake was so moist and soft with the cream being so light, the scone is dense and fluffy inside, and their cappuccino is honestly so light and creamy. I don't even like cappuccinos but I drank the whole thing! I was honestly sad to be ending my trip because I fell in love with this cafe. The vibe of the cafe and the staff alike are so welcoming, and I had several questions about each dessert which the staff patiently and kindly explained to me. I never felt like I was being rushed or my questions were an inconvenience. I really wish I was able to take the whole cafe...
Read moreNote I went here around 3/4 o'clock, I don't know if that has to do with freshness or quality:
I overall didn't mind this place, I would not come back but I enjoyed my time there.
I went with my little sister and we both got matcha boba, the matcha was good but the boba balls were weirdly hard. They didn't dissolve/soften up in your mouth how regular tapioca Boba does. We revived our food, which was fine. The portions aren't the biggest(a little on the smaller side) especially for the price I was expecting something slightly bigger. But, still I got the apple and bri sandwich(which was pretty good) the side salad is a joke, kinda gross tbh. We also got the ham croissant, which was even smaller than my sandwich. Overall the food was fine-to disappointing. We then tried one of the desserts! We got the waffle with this cookie cream on it. Expecting it to be good, sadly it was hard and gross. The waffle was CARDBOARD, and the cream was overpowering. I noted our time bc maybe if I came in the morning the food would have been more fresh. I don't know, but I did love the employees. They seemed very engaged with their customers and handled...
Read moreI live right around the corner from the cafeteria and I was happy to know that we havea new venue that I can literally walk over to form my house! Unfortunately as beautiful as the place is the food is incredibly sweet. I purchased a cheesecake and it took me two days to finish it because of how Sweet It Is. When are American people going to learn that diabetes, obesity and other health issues come from excess sugar in our foods. I hope the owner of the cafeteria listens to this review and changes the recipe to greatly reduce the amount of sugar they put into their pastries. Not only it tastes bad, it's also awful for your health. You could look into Korean bakeries and how they make their sweets, those are always very balanced in sugar. Unfortunately I won't be able to buy anything from that place again unless this problem is resolved. Especially if you're going to charge what you charge for your pastries. The quality has to match the price. Otherwise we might as well go to Dunkin...
