Las Vegas Cafe — Restaurant in Harlingen

2•15•25 came in and had the beef tacos pretty decent and quite fulfilling, so this plate is good. My husband ordered the Chicken Enchiladas they are good but, tortilla is still dry in the inside so it was like a taco and poured the enchilada sauce over them so it was meh!. Yes cheesy but it's like this IYKYK how to make them this was just a lazy way. I also ordered the guacamole and boy that is sky high in price $8.99 really that's preposterous in price for probably not even 1 avocado mashed. Yes, prices are sky-high people, but there is such a thing as taking advantage of your clients' large amount with poor serving.. anyways, it was what it was. Came in and was craving enchiladas, and they were good as always, and the fajita plate was good too.. couldn't complain about it. I left happy and full with my dish. Thank you, Las Vegas was with the wait it was packed inside the restaurant, but it was worth waiting on my food. Came in and was craving just plain chicken tacos. Yes they had a dish called chicken/beef Avocado plate but chose chicken but I wanted just that and not guisado chicken my preference yet dish was nice but 3 tacos didn't cut it coulda been 4 or 5 but that is the plate small amount. They were not shysty with the avocado. I won't complain about that it was perfect. It's just that the amount for tacos could have been a more than 1 or 2 more so you can get full. Otherwise, you won't.

It's a very good place to eat. Prices are a bit steep. The food is good and hot. I guess it depends who is the cook for the day or night because I've ordered before they be shysty on some things. I ordered the Beef enchiladas, and they were good, but the joke was that when putting onion upon request, you expect diced onion on top, not the full and whole Onion ring. It isn't a burger, y'all. It just dont look that great. Presintation is one thing but that my friends it don't look that great. One thing I have to say is I don't know if they wash their cups in fabuloso because every time I put a coke inside, I get the smell and taste on the glasses. If I go again or if anyone should just ask for a foam cup or best yet, just drink your soda from the can. I can't stand the smell, and when drinking, you can taste it. Also, when people are dining in and they decide to mop during working hours, it is really a bad idea. reason you can't have a decent meal without actually tasting and killing the food taste. Wait till closing time, yall. I understand cleanliness, but seriously, you order your meal to eat and let your staff mop in front of you and tell me you don't taste it. Just wait!. Hadn't been here for almost 2 years. They didn't miss a beat. Decided to change it up and order the ground beef taco salad.....WOW! Not disappointed. Wife ordered the Tampiquena. Well served. Service was good, food was better. Definitely be back 10-19-2022 great visit. Hadn't been here for a while and they still haven't lost their touch. Ordered an enchilada combo, absolutely delicious; 3/24/23 visit, hadn't been here since the last time. Place has a good crowd, it took maybe about five mins to get seated. After that table service for our drinks came pretty quick. We're were undecided so we asked the server to come back, yeah probably shouldn't have done that, took a long time to order after that. Finally placed our order after some attempts of wheeling and dealing. Food came back in a reasonable amount of time. I think it took longer to order than it did to get the food. Don't get me wrong, the server was super nice, super helpful, very courteous but they were all overwhelmed. They were obviously understaffed. Food finally comes back and it seems we made a great choice. We wanted to try the grilled pork chops but didn't want the fries or toast. So we were gonna order the last Vegas plate with one pork chop and share. Well they wanted 5 bucks for one PC and the entire meal cost 10. So we explained to the server what we were trying to do and why.....lo and behold she allowed us to substitute 🤦🏽‍♂️my bad, should have started there to begin with. Ended up ordering the Pork chop plate, subbed fries for rice and toast for a tort. And a carne quisada taco on the very side. Turned out to be an excellent choice. Very tender & juicy, cooked thoroughly and portioned well. Wife and I both ate well from there. Although the SOS was a little slow they still hit the mark. Definitely be back. Oh, the only thing missing from the plate was beans. I didn't think it would need it but I was wrong. My fault for not asking....

Met a client here for a quick meeting. If not for my GPS, I may have missed the place. Nestled in between two major one way streets, this restaurant kind of just blends in. Only signage was at either entrance to parking lot. One on each street. Parking lot was completely full. I parked in what I am guessing is an overflow lot adjacent to restaurant.

Was worried about a long wait, but walked in, and although full..my 9am meeting was timed just perfect as many were leaving. Table for 2 ...seated promptly.

Due to how packed this place was I was excited. Food MUST be more than just good. Table service was prompt, but food took way to long to arrive. More than 30 minutes.

We both ordered the breakfast special - 2 eggs, refried beans, bacon or sausage, hash browns, and choice of tortilla or toast. I ordered toast and he had tortillas.

The breakfast menu was large. Mexican dishes galore, but also had pancakes, waffles, and french toast. Wanted to try their barbacoa as this was my first time, but only serve on weekends.

I did order a carne guisada, bean and cheese taco with toasted tortilla.

Wasn't a fan of their carne guisada. They cook theirs with potato in it. It was good and very tender, just not a fan of potato in my carne guisada.

Nothing special about the plate except the price. Only $4.50!

As we left there was a good crowd waiting.

Overall was good...but nothing special. Don't think i would wait fot it though. And because of wait to get food, which I heard is common, not sure i...
