We dined in today on a Friday evening around 7pm it was busy but we were able to get sat quickly as a party of 3. First thing I noticed was there was only 3 servers for the entire restaurant. It took us over 10 minutes to get greeted. Dropping off little pieces of burnt chips.. Our server then said “Hello, I’ll be right with you are we ready to order can I get a drink” and left and said I’ll be back. She then didn’t come back until 20 minutes to bring our drinks after already eating the chips.. Having time to sit around and observe (because I still hadn’t ordered by this point already 45 minutes waiting) food was being sat in the window waiting to be ran to other tables and tables were left dirty because this was also the servers job to buss. We stayed waiting around because we didn’t want to be those people to get up and leave and wanted give it a chance. Finally after 50 minutes we placed our order ‘2 orders of the crispy fish and shrimp plate and the Dino chicken nuggets for our 3 y/o. Which he was really excited about. We received our food within 5 minutes...Which caught my by surprised by how fast considering how long it took to receive our drinks. The food looked like it came from a TV dinner box and they just heated it up. I cut into my fish and it mushed together like mashed potatoes. My sons “Dino Nuggets” were regular circled Tyson chicken nuggets. I asked to speak to the manager and all she said was I’m sorry we are short staffed. I was really disappointed because I had gone awhile back during lunch and it was very good. I am not one to ever complain and have worked in the restaurant business before but they way this restaurant was ran was very poorly and I feel for the servers struggling to keep up with over 5...
Read moreIt's Saturday night and the restaurant was busy. There was no available parking in front or on the side so I had to park past the dumpster and almost to the corner in another lot. Yikes! That dumpster smelled so bad when I walked by. Off to a bad start. The place was packed, but luckily I found a small table along the wall. It was very dark until a waitress turned on a light. The music was too loud for conversation, but I was alone. I did have trouble hearing the server. It was my first time there, and most everything on the menu appeared to be fried. I decided to shy away from the deep fryer. I ordered the ribeye steak with grilled shrimp. Wow! To my surprise it was probably one of my best ribeyes ever. The server said there would be 5 shrimp. I counted 6! They weren't small and grilled perfectly. The side salad was adequate, but the rice lacked flavor. I was going to rate the restaurant a notch lower because of the bad smell outside and the extremely loud music, but the service was very good and the steak was great. I'll...
Read moreIncredible food! The place doesn't look like much from the outside but trust me, the food is amazing. I ordered fish ceviche and it was fresh and delicious. My husband ordered a shrimp and oyster cocktail (it has a name but I can't remember it) and he loved it. The oysters were huge.
I also got a fish soup which was really good. They also give you a small consume along with chips and salsa which was spicy and tasty.
My daughter did order a cheeseburger which wasn't very good but she filled up on calamari, also delicious. That's what you get for ordering a cheeseburger at a seafood restaurant.
The inside decor was nice. The restaurant looked like it had been freshly painted and the paintings they had hung up were festive. The tables were cute too. The insides are filled with dried beans, rice, and corn.
So why the 4 star rating...service was slow and the restaurant was empty so there really wasn't an excuse. I'd still highly recommend. They had a lot of to go orders at the front so I'm assuming the locals...
