Scoop Ice Cream Parlor — Restaurant in Harlingen

Ice cream was great but the hot fudge was cold. Did not melt the ice cream at all. The service was a bit flat. The server took our order and brought the ice cream but not even a good afternoon or even a thank you from her.

Update: Went again yesterday 11/10/2021and same thing. No hot fudge. The lady was not happy whispering to another worker. Because we requested the fudge to be hot. No acknowledgment we were even there when we walked in. Sorry, We will not return with service like this. Other customers walked in and they were not acknowledged either. Unhappy workers make...

This place use to be the old Hygeia. We use to come when I was a kid. Still the same but they have added a few food items. Everyday they have a special and Friday special is $5.99 burger combo at chips n a drink and $3.99 milk shakes. There was along wait to get order and another while to make it but there was only one girl that was doing everything. Poor girl was running around being waitress/ cashier/ making all the orders. They need extra people to help but I didn’t mind the wait. Everything was great. Thank you for keeping this ice cream...

I love ice cream and this is my favorite place to eat it at . Thursday’s special is 2 banana splits for the price of one . They gave specials all week . I used to come as a child when it was Hygeia .This place brings me nostalgia about my childhood. I am so happy that the building is still being used to sell the delicious ice cream .This place should be packed . The ice cream is delicious . Great portions and prices too .They also have other snacks and sandwiches .The staff is courteous...
