Capistran Tortillas & Bar BQ — Restaurant in Harlingen

My son had been there and I really liked their Barbacoa! Went to my usual place on north 77 for barbacoa and couldn't believe the line all the way to the street and knowing that once I make it in they're going to tell me they're out like before so I called Capistran on F street and was told they had plenty so I went over there and was able to get in without the hassle of waiting and like I said before their barbacoa is excellent and well drained. It's nice to know I have this choice now. I'll be going there and getting my tortillas and barbacoa now....

When they started it was good, but looks like they’ve lost their quality.

Paid $15 for a pound of lard. Not only that, the worker was on their phone when I went in with my daughter. Never looked up, waited for a moment... nothing. I told her what I needed, she got it and went straight back to the phone. Geeze..

My advice to everyone hungry for barbacoa. Stick to H-E-B, at least you can pick up the onion, cilantro, and tortillas all in one shot. And best of all,...

This place is wonderful! The food is excellent and its made with that special ingredient, love. The breakfast tacos I picked up for my friends and I were delicious and filling! The tortillas made freshly gave the whole place a warm and nostalgic atmosphere. My grandmother would be upset if she heard me talk this great about another mothers tacos....
