be careful when you go here at night because they will try taking advantage of your money!! i went to tipsy tavern this past weekend and thought i was going to be able to have a casual saturday night with my boyfriend. however, we ordered two shots, which we paid for and closed out for immediately. we then ordered another two purple gecko shots from their $5 shots list on their walls, and two modelo bottles, i should’ve had a bill of roughly 20 or so dollars. one of the girl servers “destiny” went to one of the bartenders and told him my boyfriend and i had been drinking shots from the “service station” that didn’t belong to us, the bartender then threatened and harassed us while we were calmly asking why they added 3 extra shots to our tab. they kept saying they were going to call the cops if we didn’t pay for shots we NEVER took. we talked to them so calmly and were getting yelled at so much to the point we didn’t even want to stay and finish what we PAID FOR, due to their threats. instead of apologizing and fixing our bill, the bartender “aaron” ACCUSED us instead of asking us if we had taken the shots(we didn’t) i don’t think this place is very professional, they’ve had multiple complaints on them charging for drinks that people did not order or take, and they have terrible customer service. they had absolutely no proof of us taking the shots they accused us of taking and lied about it. this place makes a joke out of any complaints you have towards them, they don’t fix the issue. instead they will HARASS you online for speaking out about the situation...

Disappointed Yet Again at the TIPSY TAVERN in Harlingen … . Why are these girls allowed to be on their phones while on the floor. They don’t even try to hide 🙈….. Also if you’re a Bartender Don’t project your shitty attitude on to guests🤷🏻‍♂️. Service with a a smile (Even if its a fake smile i dont care), but definitely dont roll your eyes at me because i ask what the drink specials are the second i walk in. Know what you’re selling, have a little pride in tour work. I’m not the reason you seem to be having a bad day (well, until I don’t tip due to your attitude). If someone orders food, Check up on them and make sure things are satisfactory (at least Once🤦🏻‍♂️) …. Also , you’re at work, act like it. Dont go and sit at the bar and carry conversations while you have guests at the bar with an empty glass, that you’re supposed to to be tending to 🤦🏻‍♂️👎🏼… Oh and I’m really easy to please , normally Over tip and I don’t normally complain about Anything, but dang 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️, Its always like that there…. Never Again to this place. Too bad also,the food is good and the drinks prices are fair, BUT THE SERVICE SUCKS !!! I Really Don’t know how this place is even in the same ball park as The Rocking Cue , or The Lucky Barrel 🤷🏻‍♂️, I’ve never had that issue at either of those...

Came back again from the last time abt 8months ago brought my husband to try the food here for his 1st time and was amazed and we came on a Tuesday not knowing what to expect yet they had Taco Tuesday and boy they are $1.00 ea really delicious yall. And forget about the fast food places. this is the spot. These were amazing it is super good. You get your moneys worth and 🙌 compliments to the chefs there. Tipsy Tavern, take care of your cooks they do good for you guys. And them stuffed mushrooms which idk what they're stuffed with, but wow, very flavorful. I want more. That dish is $10.99 for the order of 6. Still is good, no regrets. And chase it down with a Coca cola or a nice beer. Either way, it was great l. My waitress was awesome and did a good job. Thank you, Cooks & Staff. We will come back and not only on Tuesday any other day I know I won't be let down with food. I took my photos but was a bit difficult to take the pics because of the lighting on the inside next time I'll have a mini flashlight to give it color lol.
