A bit late on my review, we actually were there on February 15, 2025. I was not able to decide what I wanted for my wife and I and our two friends, so I made the decision to purchase the classic and the Islander. From the outside the business looks a tad rundown. Went inside it also looks a little bit worn. BUT, then everything changes when you talk to the staff. They are extremely knowledgeable, with a degree of comfort and teaching new people about this wonderful thing called ceviche. The young lady who took care of me, did not rush anything at all, and was willing to explain every part of the process and all of the different nuances available from their menu. When I was finally able to make my decision, she crafted one of the most beautiful things I think Iâve ever seen. Everything was super fresh, where she even had to chop up a few different items fresh from the refrigerator so that it could be crisp and wonderful and my dish. I donât know when we will get back to South Padre Island again, but you can bet your lucky stars. Iâll probably be in there about every other day. The food was fabulous and the staff was tremendous. I agree with a couple previous postings, take a little bit of time and invest in the aesthetic and the outside view and youâll probably be more busy than you could ever imagine.    Read moreMy visit this past Saturday afternoon was deeply disappointing, not because of the food, but due to a shocking failure in customer service. âI was incorrectly charged for my order at the register. When I brought the error to the employee's attention, he outright refused to fix the mistake, despite the clear discrepancy. âWhat happened next was completely unacceptable. When I informed him that I would be contacting management to resolve the incorrect charge, his response was, "I don't care." âThis level of dismissiveness and disrespect from an employee dealing with a payment error is truly appalling. Not only did the staff member refuse to correct a simple mistake, but he showed zero concern for customer satisfaction or the integrity of the business. Management needs to address this immediately, as an employee who tells customers "I don't care" should not be on the front lines handling transactions. The employee was sitting with another female. I donât know if it was the employeeâs break or lunch, since there was Chick Fila bags on the table. She seemed annoyed, I had entered the restaurant. As I walked up to the food casing, she comes to the prep station and never washes her hands. She just places gloves on, and never greets hi or hello. Even ordering, it just seemed like she rather be sitting at her table with her friend. There was another male employee who charged my order. I donât know if Iâd go back to the Harlingen location, it wasnât the same vibe as the Island. Customer service, or a simple kindness is what she needs.
